CR Clean Air - High Energy Venturi Scrubber

The High Energy Venturi Scrubber is ideally suited to the capture of small particles less than 3 microns in size. It is effective as well in the submicron range and requires little or no maintenance. For applications where variations in gas flow require throat gas velocity compensation to maintain specified scrubbing efficiencies, the Clean Air Group, LLC offers automatic and manually variable throat designs. The automatic throat is used where flow conditions vary widely and frequent adjustments are required. When occasional variations occur, a manually-controlled throat is available.

CR Clean Air - Jet Venturi Fume Scrubbers

The Jet Venturi Scrubber utilizes a liquid motivated ejector design to entrain contaminated gases, generally without the need for a blower. The relatively high liquid-to-gas ratio, liquid atomization, and open internal design provide effective scrubbing of heavily contaminated gases with minimal maintenance and virtually unlimited turndown capabilities. Its ability to handle wide-ranging conditions while removing both toxic gases and particulate matter makes the Jet Venturi one of the most flexible designs available. It is often used as the first stage in a multi-stage pollution control system.

CR Clean Air - Integrated Air Pollution Control Systems

CR Clean Air Group offers you the choice of purchasing the custom-engineered equipment units only, or an entire integrated system ready to go, essentially “plug-n-play”.

CR Clean Air - Multi-Channel Bed Scrubbers (MCBS)

The Clean AIr Group, LLC Multi-Channel Bed Scrubber (MCBS) is designed to collect particles above 2 microns with 99°/o efficiency. The MCBS system utilizes a turbulent layer of liquid, air, bubbles and mist for 99°/o scrubbing efficiency of SO2, HCI, gas cooling and odor control. Continuous self-cleaning eliminates clogging, even with tar mist.

CR Clean Air - Acidic Gases Scrubbers

Bromine and Fluorine: Bromine (Br2) and Fluorine (F2) are typically scrubbed in a counter current packed tower to achieve maximum efficiencies using a dilute aqueous alkali solution. For applications with very high concentrations of these gases it may be useful to use a Jet Venturi Fume Scrubber as a first stage to remove the bulk of the contaminant then “polish” with a packed tower scrubber. With respect to F2, the concentration of the alkali in the aqueous solution must be maintained at a specific level to avoid the generation of undesirable by-products. The alkali generally preferred is KOH due to the greater solubility of KF in water than NaF.

CR Clean Air - Ammonia Gas Scrubbers

Ammonia (NH3) can be effectively removed using different scrubbers like Jet Venturi, Packed Towers, or Multi-channel Bed Scrubbers. Although ammonia can dissolve easily in water, recirculating an aqueous NH3 solution is usually unsuitable for scrubbing. This is because aqueous NH3 solutions have high NH3 vapor pressures, preventing the transfer of NH3 from the gas to the liquid phase. The commonly used method is to scrub NH3 with an aqueous acid solution, such as sulfuric or phosphoric acid, which has low vapor pressure. However, nitric acid can also create a valuable agricultural product.

CR Clean Air - Ethylene Oxide and Propylene Oxide Scrubber

Ethylene Oxide (EO or Eto) and Propylene Oxide (PO) are commonly used as a sterilant in the medical and food industries and in the manufacturing of chemical products like surfactants. While both compounds can be dissolved easily in water and hydrolyzed to form ethylene and propylene glycol, their removal can be complex.

CR Clean Air - Mercury Scrubber

Mercury in flue gas exists as gas-phase elemental mercury (HgO) and oxidized or ionic form of mercury, such as mercuric chloride, HgCl2 (HgII+) or mercuric oxide (HgO). Speciation (oxidation state) of the mercury influences the effectiveness of various control technologies and whether the mercury is deposited locally or transported over long distances. Emissions of elemental mercury, for example, can remain in the atmosphere for about a year and be transported over thousands of miles before being deposited.

CR Clean Air - NOx Scrubbing Technology

CR CleanAir patented NOx scrubbing technology provides extremely high removal efficiencies (99%+) for total NOx (NO2 and NO) without the need for exotic or expensive chemicals. This technology is not applicable to combustion generated NOx. Our Surface Active packing media makes these high efficiencies possible by retaining intermediate aqueous reaction products on its surface long enough to permit their absorption. Thus preventing these reaction products from breaking down to form NO which would otherwise be released back into the gas stream. It is this re-release of NO into the gas stream that limits the efficiency of conventional water or caustic scrubbing to less than 70%.

CR Clean Air - Particulate Matter Scrubber

Includes dust, dirt, soot, smoke and liquid droplets directly emitted into the air by sources such as factories, power plants, cars, construction activity, fires and natural windblown dust. Particles formed in the atmosphere by condensation or the transformation of emitted gases such as SO2 and VOCs are also considered particulate matter. PM is usually divided up into different classes based on size, ranging from total suspended matter (TSP) to PM-10 (particles less than 10 microns in aerodynamic diameter) to PM-2.5 (particles less than 2.5 microns). In general, the smallest particles pose the highest human health risks and are the hardest to capture.
