Filter Baskets, Strainers and Cylinders all provide a high degree of separation. Each filter design varies and can be manufactured from perforated plate, wire mesh, knitted mesh or wedge wire. The profile build-up of each filter is determined by the level of filtration required alongside operating pressures.

Over the 30 years within the filtration industry, we have seen first-hand how each process differs. As a result of this, each process requires a specific filter design. In many cases, filter housings are sold with elements which are not designs specifically for the process and not fit for purpose.

Cone Filters are common to find across many different industry sectors. Croft specialise in supplying cone filters that have been custom manufactured to suit our customer’s specific operating systems.

Croft Filters can supply a range of different in-line filtration solutions, to be used throughout a wide variety of industries. An In-line filter is found within the direct flow through an operating system. Commonly installed directly into the pipework, these filters remove the need for a filter vessel / housing. In-line filters can come in various designs from Filter Baskets and Cones to Discs and Screens.

Screen filters or flat plate filters are generally used as an inline process, filtering relatively low-viscosity fluids. Each product supplied is custom manufactured to your system considering: pressure, flow rate and filtration level required. Screen filters provide a large filtering surface whilst minimising the pressure drop within the system. The flat plate can also be curved or rolled to fit the specific application. Depending on the design requirements and application, each filter can be manufactured in perforated plate, wire mesh and wedge wire.

A common filter found across many industrial sectors, the Witches Hat Filters can be used for softening, desalination, filtration and as pre-treatment process in a system. Croft has manufactured many different Witches Hat Filters over the last 30 years, each designed specifically for each Customer’s process. Primarily used for filtration and separation, the Witches Hats can be manufactured to filter from as little as 1 micron.

Y Strainers are a common housing type found in many filtration processes. Croft can not only supply the housing, but specialise in supplying the right element for your specific process. Y Strainers are common to find across many different industries. Named after their shape, the system offers a simple but effective filter solutions. The housings can be used in pressurised lines for liquid or gas and can also be used in suction and vacuum conditions. The filter elements can be manufactured with perforated plate and wire mesh to filter to the required micron.

Croft can manufacture and supply Lessing Rings, a random column packing media favoured for its high surface area within a small volume. Manufactured in Stainless Steel, and with material certification on request, Croft can supply the packing media relatively quickly through the use of their in house machine developments.

Croft Filters are one of very few Dixon Ring suppliers. Invented by Dr Olaf George Dixon in 1946, the Dixon Ring is a random column packing media made from wire mesh.
