Transit Noise and Vibration Training
In 1995, the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) released the guidance manual “Transit Noise and Vibration Impact Assessment“ for use in transit projects around the United States. Since its release, the FTA guidance manual has become the definitive noise and vibration analysis tool for transit agencies across the US. Soon after the release of the manual, the National Transit Institute (NTI) commissioned a training course based on the manual to instruct consultants, planners, engineers and agency staff on the FTA analysis methods and policies.
Measurement Equipment and Procedures Training
One of the most important aspects of conducting noise and vibration measurements is having the right equipment for your needs and knowing how to use it properly. CSA staff can train you or your staff on the use of noise and vibration measurement equipment and proper measurement procedures. We train consultants, community members, government staff members, regulators, and law enforcement members. We can help you to pick the appropriate measurement equipment for your needs, or help to train you on your current equipment. We can also assist you with calibration, care and maintenance of your equipment. Contact us if you would like to inquire about our equipment training.
