Our journey began in the interdisciplinary labs of Peking University, where our founding team collaborated with some of the brightest minds in the field of biological imaging and scientific discovery. With an unwavering commitment to advancing scientific knowledge, we officially incorporated the company in 2019 and successfully raised $12 million in pre-Series A round and $12.5 million in Series A round.

Today, our headquarter is located in Guangzhou, boasting a team of 100 employees and a 4,000-square-meter facility. Our state-of-the-art infrastructure includes a cell culture operation laboratory, a cell imaging laboratory, a microscopic imaging technology R&D laboratory, and a 10,000-level cleanliness assembly line workshop. We also house a high-performance computing cluster for handling with PB-level living cell big data.

Team

CSR Biotech boasts a highly skilled workforce of 100, with more than half holding Master and PhD qualifications, demonstrating rich expertise in research and development. Our research team, comprised mostly of experts from prestigious domestic institutions, specializes in diverse fields such as biology, physics, applied optics, and applied mathematics. The industrial division of our team is well-versed in the entire spectrum of high-end scientific instrument development, including research, manufacturing, sales, and continuous product improvement.

A highlight of our infrastructure is the high-performance computing cluster, designed for managing and analyzing petabyte-scale living cell data, showcasing our commitment to leading-edge biological research.

Our subsidiary in Zhongguancun, Beijing, spans 500 square meters and mirrors the facilities in Guangzhou, including cell culture and imaging laboratories. This center is staffed with core R&D personnel and experimental testers, offering imaging and data processing services to universities, research institutes, and corporate R&D organizations.
