Nuclear Qualified Instrumentation - Nuclear Qualified Temperature Measurement - IEE 323/344

Curtiss-Wright - Model N9001 Series - Thermowell Mounted Wide Range RTD

The model N9001 series RTD is designed for use as a wide range thermowell mounted sensor in the primary coolant loop of PWR (Pressurized Water Reactor) nuclear generating facilities. The RTD is qualified per IEEE 323-1974/1983 and IEEE 344-1975/1987 for use in Class 1E harsh environments, but can also be used for non-safety applications.

Curtiss-Wright - Model N9004 - Thermowell Mounted Fast Time Response RTD Assembly

The model N9004 fast time response RTD is designed to be installed in a compatibly designed thermowell for rapid detection of temperature changes in the Hot and Cold legs of the reactor coolant loops (RCS) of PWRs (pressurized water reactors). The N9004 RTD is currently installed in many operating PWR nuclear plants, with some of the original installations occurring in the early 1980’s. There is little drift of either calibration or time response associated with normal operating conditions. Thus, the RTD assembly has low maintenance costs. Also, due to unique design features, ALARA amounts are reduced during installation and removal, especially when a Quick Disconnect Connector (QDC) is used.

Curtiss-Wright - Model N9339 - Flexible RTD Spring Loaded for Use In Thermowell

The model N9339 flexible RTD is specifically designed and qualified for use in CANDU powerplants for installation into a guide tube interfaced with a thermowell or thermal block. The RTD is qualified per IEEE 323-1974/1983 and IEEE 344-1975/1987 for use in Class 1E harsh environments but can also be used for non-safety applications.

Curtiss-Wright - Model N9356 - Rigid RTD Safety

The model N9356 Rigid RTD is specifically designed and qualified for use in CANDU power plants for installation into an adapter fitting interfaced with a thermowell or direct installation on a bracket. The RTD is qualified per IEEE 323-1974/1983 and IEEE 344-1975/1987 for use in Class 1E harsh environments, but can also be used for non-safety applications.

Curtiss-Wright - Model 612 - General Purpose Spring-Loaded RTD Assembly

612 Spring loaded MgO sheath insulation 612D for dual element 615 Spring loaded half inch NPT hex nipple 615D for dual element. The model 612 spring-loaded RTD is designed for a wide range of nuclear applications. The sensor is intended to be installed in a thermowell or protection tube. The spring-loading action ensures proper contact with the tip of the thermowell or protection tube for optimal heat transfer. This sensor model is optimally configured for use with a terminal block and terminal block connection head. The RTD is qualified per IEEE 323-1974/1983 and IEEE 344-1975/1987 for use in Class 1E harsh environments.

Nuclear Qualified Instrumentation - Nuclear Qualified Temperature Transmitters

Curtiss-Wright - Model N7030 RTD and N7040 - Thermocouple Analog Transmitter

The N7030 and N7040 analog temperature transmitter series are two-wire 4-20 mA DC current loop powered temperature transmitters. They are analog signal conditioning devices designed to accept standard RTD or thermocouple inputs and convert the input to a linearized 4-20 mA DC output signal that is proportional to the input. The transmitter is nominally powered from a 24 VDC supply but will accept any regulated DC supply such that the voltage measured at the transmitter’s terminals is between 14 and 48 VDC under all conditions.

Nuclear Qualified Instrumentation - Nuclear Qualified Pressure Measurement

Curtiss-Wright Ultra Energy - Model DTN2070 Series - Pressure Transmitters

Ultra Energy’s DTN2070 pressure transmitters are designed to provide reliable and precise pressure measurements in nuclear applications operating in harsh environments. It meets the most stringent environmental requirements of Gen III+ reactors for harsh operating environments and post-accident monitoring applications inside containment. The DTN2070 contains only analog electronics, using a diaphragm isolated direct coupled strain gauge pressure sensor capsule. The DTN2070 has undergone complete seismic and environmental qualification, being Class 1E qualified to IEEE 323-1974 and IEEE 344- 1987.

Curtiss-Wright Foxboro - Model N-E Series - Pressure Transmitters

These transmitters measure absolute, gauge or differential pressure and transmit a proportional 4 to 20 or 10 to 50 mA dc signal. They are 2-wire transmitters that have been type-tested for applications under seismic, radiation, aging, and loss-of-cooling accident (LOCA) environments of Nuclear Power Plants per IEEE 323-1974 and 344-1975 requirements.

Curtiss-Wright - Model N-E11 - High-Wide Pressure Ranges

These transmitters measure absolute, gauge or differential pressure and transmit a proportional 4 to 20 or 10 to 50 mA dc signal. They are 2-wire transmitters that have been type-tested for applications under seismic, radiation, aging, and loss-of-cooling accident (LOCA) environments of Nuclear Power Plants per IEEE 323-1974 and 344-1975 requirements.

Curtiss-Wrigh - Model N-E13 Series - Nuclear Electronic Pressure Transmitters

These transmitters measure absolute, gauge or differential pressure and transmit a proportional 4 to 20 or 10 to 50 mA dc signal. They are 2-wire transmitters that have been type-tested for applications under seismic, radiation, aging, and loss-of-cooling accident (LOCA) environments of Nuclear Power Plants per IEEE 323-1974 and 344-1975 requirements.
