CiSCO Shelters
CEMS Shelters
CiSCO is the only CEMS manufacturer that does it all; from building custom shelters, probes, and CEMS, to creating software packages to meet all your reporting needs. Our CEMS design starts with our shelters, which are completely designed and manufactured by CiSCO. Our designs range from 8’ x 8’ to 10’ x 24’, with different heights and larger widths also available. Shelters must deliver the proper climate and process controls to allow the systems housed within to conduct accurate sample handling, conditioning, and analysis functions necessitated by strict emissions regulations. Safety features include panic exit hardware on the doors, non-conductive, slip-resistant flooring, and smoke detectors.
Custom Shelters
Hazardous Location Shelters
Sometimes a regular CEMS building isn’t enough. Occasionally a CEMS is needed in an area where a normal shelter can’t go, a Hazardous Location. CiSCO has built and delivered many CEMS shelters for installation in Class I Division 2 locations covering Groups B, C, & D. A Class I Division 2 location is an area where ignitable concentrations of flammable gasses, vapors, or liquids may be present. This would be an area in a facility that under normal circumstances and operations would be non-hazardous, but due to the proximity of flammable gasses, vapors, or liquids has the potential to be in a hazardous environment should a leak or other abnormal conditions occur.
Cylinder Storage
Cylinder Storage
Standard Cylinder Storage
Our steel sided shelters can be equipped with easily accessible cylinder storage areas on the exterior walls of the shelters. These hood-covered cylinder racks are made of 1.5”x1.5” square steel tubing and are securely mounted to one or more of the external building walls. The hood protects the regulators and the tops of the bottles from the sun, wind, rain, and other environmental factors. The racks can either be built large enough to accommodate all the necessary cylinders for daily calibrations and quarterly QA checks or two racks can be used to house all of the cylinders, even if they are on different sides of the shelter.
CEMS without the Shelter
Cabinets
CiSCO can put a CEMS into a fully enclosed NEMA 3R (or 4X stainless steel) cabinet with single or dual access (front only or front and rear). We typically use 6-foot-wide two-bay cabinets that are 6 feet tall with the analyzers in one bay and the sample handling equipment in the second. The cabinet can also have fans for air movement if it is in a climate-controlled environment or an HVAC for climate control if it is located outside or inside a non-climate-controlled building. The electrical equipment can either be in the front for a single access or in the rear for a dual access cabinet. Windows, with UV protection if outdoors, can be added to the front to see analyzer readings and pressure and flow settings without opening the cabinet. It is nothing less than a full CiSCO CEMS with a smaller footprint.
Free-Standing Racks
If you have an existing shelter or other suitable location for a CEMS it can also be supplied in a NEMA 12 open rack. Our open design racks allow easy access to the front for reading pressures, flows, and analyzer values, and to the rear of the rack for maintenance and troubleshooting. Everything can be installed in a 19-inch multi-bay rack for convenience and size; the number of bays varies by the monitoring requirements of your CEMS. If space is an issue, we can provide the combination of a 19-inch rack with one or more wall mounted panels to house the sample handling and electrical systems. This puts the analyzers and some plumbing into a single rack and everything else up against a wall of an existing building minimizing the space needed for a full CEMS.
