The TC-1000 Temperature Controller by CWE is designed for the precise monitoring and regulation of the body temperature of small animals, such as rats and mice. Utilizing a low-voltage DC proportional controller, it ensures artifact-free heating through a resistive heating pad. The system incorporates a Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) control mechanism to mitigate electrical transients associated with traditional on/off controllers. It features an easy-to-read front-panel LCD that displays critical parameters such as current body temperature, target set-point, alarm settings, and a heater power bar graph. An analog output translates temperature into a linear voltage, while compatibility with YSI-400 series thermistor probes offers versatile usage. Designed for ease of operation, the TC-1000 automatically adjusts for optimal performance and fault detection, ensuring reliable temperature control. The system is capable of supporting various heating devices by accommodating heater currents up to 10A via an external power source.
