Ultrasonic Thickness Gauges -Surface Thickness Gauges

Cygnus - Hands Free Multi Mode Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge

The Cygnus 2PLUS is a simple to use, multi-mode thickness gage having Multiple-Echo, Echo-Echo and Single-Echo capabilities. The rotatable end-mounted display makes it ideally suited for climbing and rope access. The twin shot injection molded enclosure has a soft but durable TPE outer skin which is comfortable to hold and protects against bumps while the hard internal shell offers maximum strength and environmental protection certified to the demanding US MIL STD 810G standard. Perfect for use on flat plate, curved surfaces or pipes our Multiple-Echo single crystal probe technology means you can measure through thick coatings and only the remaining metal thickness is displayed.

Cygnus - General Purpose Multiple Echo Ultrasonic Thickness Gage

The Cygnus 4 ultrasonic thickness gage is small, tough and accurate. Designed for the harshest of environments with a simple to use keypad and intuitive menus and a color LCD display which can be viewed in all lighting conditions. The twin shot injection molded enclosure has a soft but durable TPE outer skin which is both comfortable and robust while the inner shell is strong, keeping the electronics totally sealed from the outside world. Having passed the stringent US Military Standard 810G environmental tests, this new housing represents toughness and reliability. The Cygnus Multiple-Echo, single crystal probe, technology means you can measure through thick coatings and only the remaining metal thickness is displayed.

Cygnus - General Purpose Multi-Mode Ultrasonic Thickness Gauges

The Cygnus 4PLUS is a small and tough multi-mode ultrasonic thickness gage which features an A-scan display, simple to use sequential data logging and manual and automatic gain control. Designed for the harshest of environments, with a simple to use keypad, intuitive menus and a color LCD display which can be viewed in all lighting conditions.

Ultrasonic Thickness Gauges - Underwater Thickness Gauges

Cygnus - Wrist-Mountable Underwater Thickness Gauge

Wrist-Mountable Underwater Thickness GaugeWith its bright, very large, AMOLED display the Cygnus DIVE is simple to operate, providing accurate and reliable thickness measurements, underwater.  Depth rated to 300 metres.Available with data logging, topside, HelmetView™ and twin crystal probe options.MSI™ Measurement Stability Indicator - this is a feature exclusive to the Cygnus. When using the DIVE Gauge in Single Echo mode, MSI™ confirms when a reading is stable by turning the thickness measurement numbers from red to yellow.

Cygnus - Mountable ROV Thickness Gauges

The Cygnus Mini ROV Mountable thickness gauge has been specially designed to be mounted onto small observation ROVs with or without a manipulator facility. Built in conjunction with VideoRay, this mountable subsea thickness gauge will allow the operator to carry out an ultrasonic thickness measurement in areas that have previously been infeasible using larger ROVs or divers. The multiple echo thickness gauge measures metal thickness and corrosion without removing protective coatings.

Ultrasonic Thickness Gauges - ROV Thickness Gauges & Probe Handlers

Mountable - Multiple Echo Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge

Specifically designed for underwater remotely operated vehicles, Cygnus offer two dedicated ROV Mountable thickness gauges, the M5-ROV-2K - 2,000 m depth rated, and the M5-ROV-4K - 4,000 m depth rated. These mountable measurement gauges again benefit from the multiple-echo technology found in all our ultrasonic measuring devices. They are truly versatile and designed to measure metal thickness through coatings in the harshest operating conditions.Dedicated software reveals the date, time and thickness readings on the surface which may be logged or stored. In addition, a Topside Repeater (TSR) is available providing the ability to present the thickness measurements remotely and overlay them on to a video signal. This permits the measurements to be superimposed on the ROV camera’s monitor screen.

Ultrasonic Thickness Gauges - Ultrasonic Probes

Cygnus - Single Crystal Ultrasonic Probes

Cygnus single crystal probes are for use with the gauge in Multiple-Echo mode to read through and ignore coatings. These have one piezo-ceramic crystal. This crystal both sends and receives the ultrasound energy. The S2C single crystal 2.25 MHz 13 mm (0.51 in) probe is recommended for the majority of applications and can be used to read through coatings up to 20 mm (0.79 in) thick with the gauge in Deep Coat mode.

Cygnus FMD System

Cygnus - Flooded Member Detector (FMD) System

With over three decades of designing ultrasonic equipment for the offshore and underwater environment, Cygnus fully understands the requirements of the subsea inspection industry. This entirely new Flooded Member Detector (FMD) combines intelligent, advanced software and electronics with a truly simple to use interface. The FMD system comprises of three fundamental parts; the probe and probe handler, the subsea electronics unit and the reporting software.
