Cold planing, or cold milling, is a controlled and highly productive process by which asphalt or concrete pavement is ground up and removed to a certain depth in order to repair or re-profile pavement surfaces. Cold planing is used to re-establish pavement profiles. This improves drainage flow from pavement irregularities, such as wheel ruts, washboarding and excessive pavement heights at curbs and gutters. This process can also be used to remove deteriorated pavements for future overlays or be used with a fine texturing attachment to improve skid resistance and be left as a final driving surface. Kubricky Construction — a proud member of the D.A. Collins family of businesses — has completed many cold planing projects, including interstate highways, municipal streets, bridges, parking lots and airports. By maintaining a variety of equipment, Kubricky has the ability to satisfy multiple job specifications. And, whenever possible, Kubricky recycles the milled material for use elsewhere at the site, or at other sites — thereby substantially reducing costs.Fabrication - Welding Service

Whether our clients are in need of an immediate equipment repair, a unique conveyor system or large-scale steel frames, D.A. Collins has the highly trained and knowledgeable personnel to get the job done quickly. In fact, D.A. Collins’ own dedicated team of welders and fabricators cut, weld, shape, roll, shear and form steel, in order to provide you with a customized product to meet your needs. No project is beyond consideration for D.A. Collins’ team of fabricators. For example, at our in-house fabrication shop in Glens Falls, N.Y., we have customized equipment to enable our customers to use older attachments with newer models. In the field, we have fashioned large-scale fabricated steel frames for buildings. We also have the ability to build specialty forms and molds to manufacture precast concrete products, another service provided by D.A. Collins. D.A. Collins provides a full range of estimating, project management and engineering services.
