Foam - Fluorine Free Foams for Fighting Fires - Class A / Plastic

Dafo Fomtec - Model Class A -Enviro SPX 1% - Plastic Fluorine Free Foam

Fomtec Enviro SPX 1% is a fluorine free firefighting foam with no intentionally added fluorinated surfactants and polymers (PFAS). Fomtec Enviro SPX 1% is especially designed to be an effective “fluorine-free” alternative for sprinkler systems used to fight fires in plastics and Class A materials. Fomtec Enviro SPX 1% can be used at 1% with low expansion discharge devices and sprinkler systems. For use on class A type fires induction ratio of 0.1-1% is recommended, depending on the application and discharge device. Fomtec SPX 1% is a low viscous, Newtonian liquid and, easily pumped and propor-tioned.

Powder - ABC

Dafo Fomtec - Model Renex ABC 20 - Dry Chemical Powder for Fire Safety

Fomtec Renex ABC 20 is a general purpose economical dry chemical powder with a good efficiency and performance in fires of class A, B, C and E (up to 1,000 volts). Renex ABC 20 is a mixture of highly efficient mono-ammonium phosphate and ammonium sulphate ground to selected particle sizes and made resistant to influences of climatic extremes by means of flow promoting and moisture repellent additives.

Dafo Fomtec - Model Renex ABC 40 - Dry Chemical Powder for Fire Safety

Fomtec Renex ABC 40 is a general purpose dry chemical powder with a good efficiency and performance in fires of class A, B, C and E (up to 1,000 volts). Renex ABC 40 is a mixture of highly efficient mono-ammonium phosphate and ammonium sulphate ground to selected particle sizes and made resistant to influences of climatic extremes by means of flow promoting and moisture repellent additives.

Fluorinated - AFFF

Dafo Fomtec - Model EXT Plus - Aqueous Film Forming Foam Concentrate (AFFF)

Fomtec EXT Plus is an aqueous film forming foam concentrate (AFFF) consisting of fluorocarbon and hydrocarbon surfactants blended with various solvents, preservatives and stabilisers. The foam forms an aqueous film that rapidly cuts off the oxygen supply and thus knocks down the fire. The expanded foam from which the film is drained forms a stable blanket that suppresses the release of flammable vapours and cools down the fuel surface extinguishing the fire and preventing re-ignition.

Dafo Fomtec - Model EXT Ultra - Aqueous Film Forming Foam Concentrate (AFFF)

Fomtec EXT Ultra is an aqueous film forming foam concentrate (AFFF) consisting of fluorocarbon and hydrocarbon surfactants blended with various solvents, preservatives and stabilisers.

Foam Generator for Firefighting Applications

Dafo Fomtec - Model SME - Expansion Foam Generator for Fire Suppression

Medium Expansion (MEX) foam generators are designed to expand foam solution into a stable aggregation of bubbles with discharge expansion ratios from 20:1 up to 200:1, which is dependent on the foam concentrate, used and supply pressure. Foam solution enters the generator through a sized orifice inside the inlet tube and is sprayed onto a mesh diffuser screen. The increased velocity through the inlet orifice creates a venturi effect and aspirates air into the spraying foam solution creating a homogeneous finished foam. The produced foam is capable of flowing into hard to reach areas and limits the release of flammable vapors due to its thick foam blanket. The expanded foam properties makes it suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

Dafo Fomtec - Model KCS - Foam Chamber for Fire Protection

Foam chambers are suitable for the protection of fixed roof-mounted tanks and are to be used as low expansion Type II discharge devices (as defined by NFPA 11) with approved and/or listed foam concentrates and proportioning devices. Foam chambers are designed to apply an expanded foam blanket over the surface of a flammable liquid fire as gently as possible to achieve extinguishment and/or vapor suppression. A deflector positioned on the inside of the storage tank directs the expanded foam back onto the wall of the tank. The foam runs down the wall of the tank onto the liquid surface, minimizing submergence and fuel pick-up thereby maximizing the positive effect of the foam. Low expansion foam deluge systems are the preferred protection for large outdoor tanks of flammable liquids. Typical applications include manufacturing plants, large tank farms, oil refineries and chemical plants. This technical data is intended for trained experts.
