Dairypower Equipment is a family owned business based in Cork, Ireland and was established in 1973 by John O’Donovan. Over the years, John and his son, Pat built brand awareness through developing and manufacturing their unique high-quality systems for the agricultural sector.

Our History

John O’Donovan initially set up a milking machine company, Dairypower Equipment based in Cork, Ireland.
In 1985, John began to develop the now, market leading, Hydraulic Ratchet Scraper System, with its many bespoke features this system has become the safest, most economical and trouble-free system in the world. Dairypower operates out of a manufacturing/distribution site in Ireland and a distribution site in the U.K. Dairypower provides customers with a premium level of service all over the globe and ongoing research into developing further efficient systems. With the aim that Dairypower will achieve the status of being the number one company in Manure Management in the world.

The Dairypower Smart Manure Aeration System was introduced into the Irish market in 1998. Since the aeration system was developed, Dairypower have worked with many research farms including the Dairy Campus, a test farm and scientific research centre in the Netherlands. The Smart Manure Aeration System is proven to be the safest, most cost-effective and environmentally friendly system available. The patented rotary valve keeps manure in a homogeneous pumpable state that is always ready to spread.

In 2010 Dairypower extended the scraper range and developed the unique Rope/Cable Scraper System. This system can clean passages up to 200 metres in length using Dairypower’s patented Double-Winch system, eliminating the need for running two independent winch units on installation.
