A high quality traditional wood shaving product, milled from sustainable European softwoods and dust extracted during production.  Light and fluffy, this bedding type offers a great bulk bedding product, perfect for use in pens with larger species or where deep litter is required. Highest quality bedding materials made from European soft woods, manufactured to ISO 9001:2008 standards exclusively for Datesand at our mill in Cheshire. With full batch traceability and certificates of analysis, all grades conform to GLP standards.

Our recently introduced ABP product is a European Poplar chipped bedding. An excellent alternative to Premium Aspen with very similar properties but at a more economical price point. Available in standard sacks or bulk totes as standard, ABP3 is an excellent choice within IVCs and with automatic systems. Suitable for all species but particularly recommended for small rodents ABP3 is perfectly suited to automated cage filling systems as well as manual distribution. It can extend the gaps between cage changes quite considerably and so represents outstanding value for money – something we consider to be really rather important.

Bed-r’Nest provides a consistent amount of nesting material to every cage, every time. Each 8-gram portion supplies animals with the perfect amount of industry recommended nesting material as well as significant comfort.

The Rat Scratcher has been designed to reduce stress and promote natural behaviour and grooming in rats. With its easy clip-on fitting, this award-winning environmental enrichment device can be suspended from cage bars, allowing rodents to pass underneath and brush themselves by rubbing on the textured surface.
