Highly accurate yet easy to use: With the ML3 ThetaProbe Soil Moisture Sensor it’s easy to make reliable, accurate soil moisture measurements. Simply insert the soil moisture probe into the soil, connect to your data logger or readout unit, provide 5-14 V DC at 18 mA, and within seconds you can be logging soil moisture. The ML3 ThetaProbe is robust, buriable and maintenance free (environmentally protected to IP68). It can be easily installed at depth into augered holes using the optional extension tubes. The ML3’s excellent salinity response has been characterised at EC values up to 2000 mS.m-1. It also has a wide operating temperature range, allowing it to be used at temperatures as low as -40 ºC (non-flexing cables). The ML3 includes a thermistor sensor for the measurement of soil temperature (probe must be fully buried).

The PR2 SDI-12 Profile Probe builds on the reputation and field proven technology of the analogue PR2. By adopting the widely used SDI-12 interface (v1.3) the PR2 SDI-12 can be integrated with an even wider range of data loggers, sensors and equipment. SDI-12 is an established communication standard adopted by many manufacturers of environmental monitoring and control equipment. It is popular because it allows large numbers of sensors (from many vendors) to be connected to a logger via a simple cable network, thereby reducing the cost and complexity of wiring large sensor installations. The PR2 SDI-12 conforms to the industry standard SDI-12 (v1.3) specification.

The GP2 is a powerful 12 channel data logger that is easy to use, SDI-12 compatible, versatile, rugged and reliable. It can log most sensor types and accepts voltage, resistance, current, potentiometer, bridge, counter, frequency, and digital state inputs. DeltaLINK software helps the user set up logging sequences and provides control over reading frequency, sensor type, thresholds, units and much more. All Delta-T sensors can be selected from a menu.

The GP1 Data Logger is a complete logging solution housed in a waterproof IP67 enclosure with battery power. The internal memory can hold >600,000 readings - more than enough for one year`s operation (typical).

The Moisture Meter type HH2 is a versatile readout unit for use with Delta-T Devices soil moisture sensors: the Profile Probe, ThetaProbe, SM300, SM150 and WET Sensor. The HH2 readout unit offers impressive functionality in a compact, hand-held unit, designed for field use. Readings are displayed on the LCD and can be stored to memory for later download to a PC.

Stomatal aperture is the dominant factor in the diffusion conductance of leaf surfaces, which controls both the water loss from plant leaves and the uptake of CO2 for photosynthesis. Measurements of diffusion conductance are therefore important indicators of plant water status and provide a valuable insight into plant growth and plant adaptation to environmental variables.

The advanced WS-GP2 Automatic Weather Station is based on the powerful GP2 Data Logger. It is an ideal solution for research and environmental monitoring applications at remote and exposed sites. The WS-GP2 provides a highly rugged and flexible system – users can select the optimal combination of sensors, logger, power and communications.

The ST1 is a soil temperature probe based on a thermistor sensor. This is housed in a stainless steel sheath of 4.8 mm nominal outside diameter, 125 mm long, connected to a 5 m cable. Thermistor type – 2K (see specification for full details). Sensor can be buried in the soil or exposed for air temperature measurements. (subject to appropriate solar shielding.).

The ST2 is similar to ST1, except that it is fitted with a higher specified thermistor sensor with improved accuracy (see specification for details). The thermistor is housed  in a stainless steel sheath of 4.8 mm nominal outside diameter, 125 mm long, connected to a two core cable, 5 m long. Thermistor type - 2K.
