The grading machine is made of stainless steal tubes which are fixed on a 4` chain. Between the two tubes, fixed on a connection, there is a movable tube that can decrease according to the tuning of the sorting mesurement. The speed of the grading machine can be regulated via a variable frequency device.

In order to remove the bad sprouts manually, it is important to verify the sprouts from all sides. This is possible because the rolls from the sorting belt are turning while the chain is moving. The large distance between the upperside en the return of the chain makes it possible to install some chairs for the persons who are working at the sorting belt. It is possible to regulate the speed of the sorting belt with a variable frequency drive.

A pre-sorting system is used to distinguish the big sprouts and the leafs from the good sprouts. The big ones are removed via axial rolls, the leafs fall through the rubber rolls. This means that the big sprouts are not to be removed manually. The size of the sprouts can be easily regaluted. A pre-sorting system can be installed before the sorting line or can be installed on the sprout harvestor. The advantage is that the big sprouts and the leafs do not have to transported to the sorting and that the waste at the sorting belt will be reduced.
