Stago contracted with Alira Health to conduct an economic evaluation comparing the use of the STA-Liatest D-Di assay to other D-dimer assays in conjunction with a probability assessment model for exclusion of VTE. Improved patient outcomes and experience, shorter length of stay and cost effectiveness drive the recognition of value in today’s rapidly-evolving and competitive healthcare environment.

The STA R Max 3 is a versatile analyser that will adapt to any type of laboratory set-up, for an equivalent performance whether used alone or integrated into an automated track. It is supported by a range of reagents offering a comprehensive menu of routine and specialised tests, ensuring effective TAT (turnaround time) management.

The STA Compact Max 3 offers significant performance improvements and includes the EPC (expert pre-analytical check) module. This EPC module controls fill volumes of all types of tubes and detects haemolysed, icteric and lipemic samples, allowing the STA Compact Max 3 to check sample integrity to ensure quality results. It requires no additional plasma volume and does not affect throughput.  

In addition to boasting a new design in line with the Max Generation, the STart Max has also been re-imagined in terms of functionality and practicality. This small semi-automated instrument is just as impressive as the larger models: new quality control and calibration menus, and a large colour touchscreen to benefit from the standardised “Max Generation” graphical user interface & in terms of features nothing is missing either, with an effective traceability, the ability to archive patient results, quality controls, reagent lots, and a modern connectivity (to LIS and/or STA Coag Expert, with a USB port and the possibility to connect a handheld barcode reader)
