A compliance audit is the fundamental unit of a comprehensive environmental safety and health management system. An audit should be performed to ensure worker safety and health, but should have a secondary goal of achieving worker safety in the most efficient and economical manner possible.

DirectCIH follows a general, circular concept in compliance planning. First, determine the needs of the client and prepare or revise a plan. Second, achieve a high level of benefit by reducing injury and illness, and minimizing the cost of implementation. Third, integrate the plan into the management and workforce culture.

DirectCIH carefully determines if your company’s hazardous waste program is complete, and if the program meets regulatory requirements. DirectCIH personnel will inspect the facility to evaluate the types of hazardous wastes that are present (listed, characteristic, and universal).

A Management System is a continual process, never a final product. The key concept in a management system audit is to measure and verify conformance of the system to corporate goals and legal requirements.
