Dura-Bond Coating is a leading plant applicator of fusion bond epoxy (FBE) for the nation’s major transmission pipeline companies. FBE is the primary coating used in North America to protect pipelines from corrosion. POWERCRETE is an epoxy based polymer concrete. Its main purpose is to protect the fusion bonded epoxy coating on steel pipe under severe handling conditions. The highly abrasion resistant POWERCRETE® provides a smooth surface that allows the pipeline to be pulled under the crossing in a “slick bore” operation with much less drag resistance than conventional concrete. It can also be used as a rockshield.

Powercrete R-95 is a single coat, 100% solids, high build epoxy novolac that coats, repairs and rehabilitates pipelines operating at maximum temperatures up to 95ºC (203ºF). As an abrasion resistant overlay (ARO) it is compatible with FBE and CTE mainline coatings and can be used on any metal structure. This 2-component, solvent-free epoxy can easily achieve a dry film thickness of up to 20 mils in a single application and can be hand or spray applied. In addition to the poplular mainline application of Powercrete-DD over FBE mainline coatings, Dura-Bond Coating is also able to apply Powercrete R-95 to bare steel pipe and fittings for specific applications. Utilizing a plural component spray system, Powercrete R-95 builds to 20 mils per pass and can be applied directly to bare steel for corrosion protection.

3M Scotchkote Fusion-Bonded Epoxy Dual Coating System 6352HF is a hard, mechanically strong top coating for all Scotchkote fusion bonded epoxy pipeline corrosion protection coatings. Scotchkote 6352HF also enhances the performance of the first layer of corrosion coating. It is applied to the base coating to form a tough outer layer that is resistant to gouge, impact, abrasion and penetration. Scotchkote 6352HF coating is specifically designed to protect the primary corrosion coating from damage during pipeline directional drilling applications, bores, river crossing and installation in rough terrain.

The PM-301 Fiberglass Marker is an Identification Sign used to mark underground utility lines. Like our PM-303 Dome Marker, this Utility Marker is used to mark the following utilities: Fiber Optic Cable, Gas Pipelines, Petroleum Pipelines, Electric Lines, Water Lines, Sewer Lines and all other buried utility lines. The PM-301 can also be used as a Highway Delineator, Boundary Marker or Trail Marker.

Dura-Bond Pipe McKeesport manufactures ERW pipe from 8 5/8″ to 20″.  This plant employs advanced electric resistance welding (ERW) technology to produce  API and ASTM certified steel pipe.  Hot rolled steel coil is continuously formed and welded while a traveling cutoff saw slices pipe lengths.

Dura-Bond manufactures and coats large diameter steel line pipe at our Steelton facility located in the heart of Pennsylvania’s Marcellus Shale region. Our mill produces API straight seam DSAW pipe in diameters ranging from 24” to 42”, in grades up to X-80 and in lengths up to 80’. We employ the latest advancements in welding, pipe mill tracking and non destructive testing. Dura-Bond’s inspection processes meet the pipeline industry’s highest standard for steel pipe quality.
