NESCO Water Spray
DSI NESCO - Model DustPro A Series - Automatic High Pressure Water Spray System
The NESCO DustPro A Series features a 200 PSI (15 Bar) pump module that is controlled via a programmable logic controller which can be easily interfaced to plant control systems. The unit is equipped with rugged control valves, strainers, and heavy-duty brass piping for industrial use. It has fully automatic operation and can be equipped with air and glycol purges for cold weather operation. For portable operation, the unit can be mounted in an insulated trailer with heater, vent, fluorescent lighting, and all the necessary utility and hose feedthroughs. The NESCO DustPro A series can be customized to accommodate any application. This includes additional water filtration, cold weather options, special control features, and additional alarm capabilities.
DSI NESCO - Model DustPro D Series - Duplex High Pressure Water Spray System
The NESCO DustPro A Series is an advanced automatic high-pressure water spray system designed for dust suppression across various industrial applications. Utilizing a high-pressure pump and diverse spray nozzles, the system effectively applies water directly to materials, controlling dust by producing a finely atomized mist. This mist suppresses airborne particles larger than 15 micrometers and adds 0.2% to 0.5% moisture by weight to the material process. The system relies on the agglomeration principle, where water droplets the same size as dust particles collide and form larger particles that settle due to gravity. Equipped with modulating water regulators, the system maintains the ideal ratio of material flow to water, ensuring optimal moisture levels for dust control without creating excessive wetting. This technology is particularly suited for conveyor stack-outs, storage piles, and processes where slight wetting is permissible. It offers an efficient solution for mitigating visible and inhalable dust, though not respirable airborne dust, reducing the downstream creation of dust without the higher costs associated with chemical suppression systems.

DSI - Dry Fog Systems
We create dry fog. Our technology uses air atomizing nozzles that produce water droplets 10 micron or less. These ultra-fine water droplets add less than 0.1 percent of moisture by weight and attach to like size dust particles and drop them back into the process. DSI Dry Fog systems are designed and engineered to effectively reduce fugitive dust at material handling points.
DSI DustTamer™ - Wind Fence Dust Suppression System
DustTamer™ wind fence systems are designed to combat wind erosion and dust emissions typically generated from open stockpiles and various industrial activities. Recognizing that something as subtle as wind speed reductions can mitigate up to 75% of dust emissions, the DustTamer™ system utilizes a porous material that reduces wind velocity and balances differential pressure across the barrier. This slows down the wind speed in the sheltered area, preventing particle uptake and therefore reducing airborne dust. This system operates by creating displacement flow, wherein a portion of the air is allowed to pass through the screen to mitigate pressure differentials, ultimately neutralizing the impact of high-velocity wind on stored materials. Engineered through computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling, DustTamer™ integrates advanced analysis to identify optimal fence height, material porosity, and placement needed for effective dust suppression. The system, which encompasses everything from design to structural engineering and installation, contrasts other materials such as basket weave fabrics and metal wind fences that are prone to clogging and structural degradation. The unique flexible and self-cleaning design of DustTamer™ ensures long-term efficiency and maintenance, making it a robust and reliable solution for controlling wind-induced dust in heavy industrial applications.
DSI - High Pressure Fog Systems
Dust suppression using high pressure fog systems is a technique employed across various industries, including mining, construction, agriculture, and material handling. The theory behind its effectiveness lies in the physical properties of water droplets, the dynamics of air movement, and the principles of particle capture.
