Vibration Diagnostic and Analysis of Rotating Machinery Services
The diagnostic of a rotary machine must detect any anomalies, identify their nature and determine the gravity. Vibration analysis is the basic tool, but other investigation techniques are often used to complete the diagnostic, including analyses of the intensity of supply current or the analysis of dynamic values, such as pressure, speed, torque, etc.
Dynamic Structural Studies
Dynamic structural studies are usually made at one of two points in the equipment`s life cycle: in the design phase, in order to validate the static and dynamic design, in production, when abnormal phenomena occur (cracks, severe vibrations, overheating, ruptures, etc.). These studies use measurement tools (measurement of specific frequencies, actual deformation, ODS - operating deflection shape) and simulation tools (finite element calculations).
Vibration Monitoring Services
The periodicity of the monitoring can range from 4 months to 2 weeks depending on the process and the criticality of the equipment. It is often reduced when the indicators pass a first alarm threshold. The machine can also be equipped with instruments for continuous monitoring.
Leak Detection Services by Ultrasound Analysis
According to the French agency for the environment and energy management (ADEME), leaks of compressed air can account for up to 40% of the annual output of compressors. Ultrasound detection of gas and steam leaks help not only to make significant energy savings but also to improve safety. This technique consists in locating the ultrasounds emitted in high quantities through the leak using a directional detector. IR thermography can be used to locate leaks in underground pipes or heated floors suffering from leaks of hot or cold fluid, thereby avoiding costly drilling operations.

Multi-technical monitoring makes it possible to optimise the conditional maintenance policy by grouping together the use of complementary techniques: vibration analysis, electrical analysis, infrared thermography, lube analysis.
