Dynautics - Custom Boats

Dynautics is a trusted technology partner to a wide range of vehicle designers. Our team engages in early design discussions to provide input into the optimal hull and propulsion design. Our simulation system, Ship Sim, additionally accelerates development by reducing design iterations. The simulation process enables optimisation of the hull design, propulsion type and configuration.

Vessel Simulators

Dynautics - Surface Vessel Simulator

The Dynautics Ship Sim 3 is a surface vessel simulator that can be configured using the ISO16329, IEC 62065 or proprietary model, to model the behaviour of a large range of ships.  Mathematical models include a detailed model which calculates aero and hydrodynamic forces, and the force components generated by the propeller blades as they sweep round, wave forces, and the lift effects which are responsible for planning behaviour. Sensors are individually modelled including error budgets, positional offsets, magnetic dip and variation, and the sensor outputs are transmitted through serial and Ethernet ports using the appropriate data formats for an extensive range of devices. The simulated vehicles, whether surface or subsurface, can be controlled by means of serial or analogue signals, so that the vehicle and its environment can be fully tested with hardware in the loop

Vessel Communications

Dynautics - 2.4GHz Modem Communications Unit

The Dynautics 2.4/0.8 GHz modems are configured to accept RS232 or RS422, and are powered from a 12V nominal supply.  These modems are typically used by the Dynautics Joystick, giving fast, accurate control with low latency as required when manoeuvring large, powerful USVs with delicacy and precision needed for docking.

Dynautics - Adaptive Dynamic Positioning System

Dynautics has pioneered the development of novel algorithms for adaptive dynamic positioning.  Our algorithms enable surface and subsurface vehicles to be controlled within an area or on a waypoint.  Sea state adaptive algorithms adjust the control parameters to achieve optimal position control according to environmental conditions.  Heading can be set by the operator, or dynamically adjusted for minimum power usage.
