Soil and thatch restriction are permanently modified by the process of cutting vertical grooves (1/2″ wide & 3″ deep), then filling the grooves with topdressing materials such as calcined clay, compost, or sand. Linear aeration improves water infiltration and retention, turf and root growth, nutrient absorption and organic decomposition.  

The Turfsaw Field Aerator is a design we’re super proud of. It attaches easily to tractor loader buckets. Just slide it on, tighten the mounting bolts, and go! Loader weight and down pressure are used to furnish most of the working weight. Solid, replaceable spikes are easily adjusted to increase or decrease the penetration depth from 2.5 inches to 3.75 inches. The Turfsaw Field Aerator is the perfect tool for golf courses, athletic fields, horse farms, and virtually any large expanse of turf. Its shattering action produces little or no ground compaction.
