As effective data management systems require some degree of customization, training is an integral component of our services. Training is offered on a private or classroom basis, with a one-day course leading participants through the use of our SiteFX software system.  Similarly, a two-day training course is offered to introduce new users (or refresh existing users) to VIEWLOG.

EarthFX staff have completed hundreds of groundwater, surface water, and contaminant transport numerical models.  These models range from local-scale, steady-state flow models to regional-scale transient models with coupled groundwater/surface-water interaction.  Recent projects have made extensive use of GSFlow, a well-documented and open-source model developed by the U.S. Geological Survey and first released in the spring of 2008. GSFlow integrates the USGS MODFLOW groundwater model and USGS PRMS surface water model to providing a fully integrated modeling system.

Earthfx specializes in the emerging field of integrated surface water/groundwater modelling. We have constructed numerous models using the USGS GSFLOW model, the leading open source integrated model. Project applications include Source Water Protection water budgeting, quarry and mine impact assessment, oilsand cumulative effects analysis, water supply, eco-hydrology and drought analysis.

Our software products and data hosting services have been used to streamline and manage information and reporting for municipal water supply, power generation, contaminated sites, water management and conservation authorities.
