VersaSonic is the most versatile couplant, from high temperature to turbine rotors to extreme weather inspections.  VersaSonic is a low-toxicity, biodegradable couplant that does NOT contain peanut oil.

SuperSoniX is the best water-based high performance couplant with a broad operating range and slow evaporation rate. Gel couplant, not stringy or sticky. Gel viscosity remains in place for overhead and vertical surfaces. Broad operating range for a water-based couplant. Slow drying. Improved stability against corrosion salts. Water-soluble. Safety: Environmental and operator friendly. No formaldehydes, nitrates, nitrites or glycol ethers. Contains glycerin. Not for aluminum aircraft inspections.

A high viscosity flowable couplant having sufficient bulk and shear modules at ambient temperatures to support the coupling of shear waves and guided waves.  Echo Shear Wave ultrasonic couplant transmits normal incidence (zero degree) shear waves,  is water-soluble and easily applied and removed. A small amount of Echo Shear Wave Couplant should be placed on the face of the transducer or the test piece and then pressed into a thin layer.  For optimum coupling, it is important that the couplant layer be thin.

EchoPure is the couplant of choice for Phased Array UT Inspection (PAUT).  EchoPure improves defect reproducibility by eliminating dry spots under the wedge and the resulting noise and artifacts.
