Ecoarea is a concrete example of SMART building: it’s a building open to many functions, which integrates energy efficiency systems, materials with reduced environment impact and home autonomation technology. These make it more intelligent than the conventional buildings. It was finalist in the categories Structural Design of the Year and Future Project of the Year at the 2011 edition of the prestigious World Architectural Festival in Barcelona.
