Ecochlor products

The Ecochlor® ballast water management system (BWMS) uses a two-step process to treat ballast water; filtration followed by an injection of ClO₂ into the ballast lines.

The Ecochlor range of BWMS puts shipowners back in control of the ballast water management process by allowing them to choose which mode of operation is best for their vessels.

The NEW EcoOne Hybrid BWMS offers the choice of either the EcoOne™ single-step ClO₂ disinfection or the Ecochlor® BWMS two-step process using filter(s) and ClO₂.

For tanker vessels, safety of the crew, along with Class and Flag requirements, are key issues along with the complexity of doing modifications to a hazardous zone.

The Ecochlor system uses FilterSafe’s highest throughput SuperTurbo filter to reduce ballast water intake time, allowing for faster cargo unloading.

Every vessel type has its own individual requirements and challenges in conjunction with a BWMS retrofit. The Ecochlor system offers a high degree of flexibility for installation in terms of location. It has a relatively small footprint and low power consumption, which is particularly important for OSV or smaller cargo ships.
