Ecodyne’s Reactivator-Clarifier is suitable for higher flowrates. This is a solids contact unit and design includes flash mixing, softening / flocculation and sedimentation in a single tank. Units are field-erected from quality pre-fabricated shop components.

For low flowrates, an Ecodyne Lamella-Clarifier is the right choice. Parallel inclined plates increase the effective settling area. Units are factory built, rubber lined and shipped in one piece. Lamella Plates are individually removable for cleaning online without shut down of the process. Lamella-Clarifiers follow upstream Reaction Tanks.

Since 1976, Ecodyne has supplied hot lime softeners for the removal of hardness, alkalinity, turbidity, oxygen, silica removal and other contaminants in OTSGs and boilers. The unique features of our lime softeners allow this equipment to treat the hot produced water in the SAGD process. We also offer the option of on-site erection or pre-assembled, depending on the location and site access.

Ecodyne can customize the basic Reactivator-Clarifier design to accommodate cold lime or warm lime operation as required for TSS hardness, alkalinity and silica removal. Options for on-site erection depending on location and site access are also available.

Liberate free CO2 in the water, reducing the loading on the anion resin. When the alkalinity loading is approximately 50% or more of the total anion loading, a degasifier is typically included with the Ion Exchange System. Degasififiers are made of FRP and can include an optional integral storage tank. Ecodyne can provide any custom-designed solution for your application.

Ecodyne is a preferred supplier to the Alberta Oilsands and has provided many produced water WAC packages. Custom designed systems are available for both in-situ and external regeneration configuration.

For high TDS waters, RO can be more cost effective than ion exchange, while having the added advantage of avoiding the use of acid and caustic. We can help you determine if RO is the best solution for your plant and provide a custom designed system for your application.

EDI is often used as an alternative to mixed bed polishers where inlet water quality allows and also has the advantage of avoiding the use of acid and caustic.
