Ecologix - Chemical Feed And Chemical Mixing Systems
Ecologix chemical feed and chemical mixing systems are engineered to meet the requirements specific to your application. Activated Carbon
Ecologix - Coal Based Activated Carbon
Coal based activated carbon originates from coal that has undergone a steam activation process. During activation, millions of pores are created on the surface of the carbon, increasing the total surface area. Coal based carbon has mainly meso-pores and macro-pores and is very popular in gas phase purification, potable water purification, wastewater purification and aquarium/pond water purification applications.
Ecologix - Coconut Shell Activated Carbon
Like its name, coconut shell activated carbon comes from the coconut shell. To create its activated carbon form, the coconut undergoes a steam activation process. During activation, it creates millions of pores at the surface of the carbon thus increasing the total surface area. Coconut shell carbon has mainly micro-pores to meso-pores and due to its unique distribution of pore diameter, coconut shell activated carbons are very popular in the gas phase purification and potable water purification industries.
Ecologix - Impregnated Activated Carbon Product
Ecologix provides several different grades of impregnated activated carbon for those special applications where either standard non-treated carbon does not work or where activated carbon’s adsorptive capacity can be greatly enhanced through impregnation.
Ecologix - Lignite Activated Carbon Products
Granular activated carbon produced by steam activation of lignite coal. This grade is specifically manufactured for applications requiring rapid adsorption rate in percolation columns. 12x40 Lignite Based Activated Carbon is a general purpose granular carbon grade used in a variety of applications including purification of fine chemicals and food.
Ecologix - Specialty Activated Carbon Products
Ecologix provides several additional special grades of activated carbon for those special applications where either standard or our impregnated carbon products are not sufficient.
Ecologix - Wood Based Activated Carbon Products
Powder activated carbon produced by steam activation of wood. This wood based activated carbon has high porosity and purity. Majority is being used in the water and wastewater treatment, decolorization and vapor phase injection systems.
Activated Glass Filtration Media
Ecologix - Activated Glass Filtration Media (AGFM)
Activated Glass Filtration Media replaces traditional sand media in all filtration applications. It is manufactured from a specific glass type and processed to obtain the optimum particle size and shape, and then activated to increase the surface area by 300 times over crushed glass or sand. The high surface area is negatively charged (zeta potential) to electro-statically attract organics and small particles. It also has permanent metal oxide catalysts, creating a high redox potential, to make AGFM self-sterilizing.
Bag Filter and Vessels
Duoline/Moduline - Bag Filter Housings
Duoline filter housings are for applications where the system flow cannot be shut down for filter bag change out. Either a butterfly or ball valve assembly is used to divert the flow between the two housings so that the isolated, out of service, housing can be serviced. The flow is never shut down. Moduline filter housings are for applications where the flow rate is too high for a single bag filter housing.
