Compacted XPS has even porous structure, which is denser and smoother than EPS has. Because of the structure and density of this material it can’t be compacted to the volumes of EPS. Factories that specialize in heat-, sound- and waterproof insulation as well as XPS plates manufacturing often face the problem of waste, rejects and defective goods recycling. The best solution of the problem is installation of a compactor, which allows not only to rationalize its production activity, but also gives an opportunity to make money by selling compacted polystyrene waste. Compacted XPS, as well as EPS can be used once again, after being recycled, in the production of EPS.

Nowadays the packaging of EPE is widely used in different industrial and domestic sectors of the market. Using our compactors some types of EPE could be compacted in blocks with density up to 450 kg/m3. There are some types of expanded polyethylene that does not keep closed up after compacting. In this case material is loaded in containers or big bags for convenient shipment.

Screw compactor designed by the Ecopolymer can be also used for expanded polypropylene processing. Nowadays the use of EPP is increasing as packaging for electronic goods and a raw material for the production of other items. Expanded Polypropylene has a denser structure than EPS, that is why it is necessary for a more powerful pre-crusher to be fit on it for the following its substances: ingots, natural colored film, fibers, threads and textile rejects.

Nowadays amounts of PET used are rather high and they are going to increase in future. Beer, juice, sunflower oil, milk, water and cleansers are usually bottled in PET. Such packaging can be recycled without losing its valuable features (transparency, water resistance etc.). That is why the interest in   PET-bottles processing is steadily growing and an increasing number of companies are recycling PET. 

Polycarbonate, which is a popular in different fields polymer and well-known for its excellent optical transparency and overstrength, is used in the manufacturing of transparent blow molds. Large 19-litre water drums from polycarbonate or LDPE are used for mineral water coolers and are impractical for transportion and storing because of their size and space they require.

Installation of the compacting equipment is of current interest for food industry enterprises, breweries, carbonated drinks producers as well as for other fields. A screw compactor is mostly used for the processing of returnable and defect production: empty containers compacting and dewatering of full or partially full metal and aluminum beverage cans.

During XPS plates manufacturing there is usually a lot of dust and scraps, which can be recycled by using a compactor. Dust is usually collected by a ventilation system into large containers.

Big companies, producing carbonated drinks, juices and dairy products, often face the problem of defective, returned and expired products recycling as well as the problem of their processing and transportation of waste. The advantages from compacting equipment installation: Saving a storage space; reduction of transportation costs in the trade of recycled materials as transportation and processing of PET bottles is rather  complicated and expensive process regardless whether bottles are full or empty; disposal of defective and expired products.

Dewatering and liquid separation system of the KDM-320(W) is a sort of equipment that does not require expensive maintenance, enables to process large amounts of material and keeps high density of materials during all manufacturing processes. This equipment is successfully used for aluminum and metal cans. The system can supplement an existing equipment and production methods and it can also be designed as a separate dewatering and rejects shredding system. 

Dairy plants, wine, juice, yoghurt and other beverages manufacturers, who produce food and drinks in cardboard packages, dispose defective and expired goods to prevent their reselling by mistake. Screw compactor separates liquids, compresses materials and makes them convenient for transportation within a manufacturing process. While separated the waste stream is divided in two parts. Liquids can be drained into sewerage or sometimes it can be sold for power production or to a cattle breeding industry. Solids become dry enough to be sold as fuel.
