Our cities and communities are constantly growing, yet they very often reach their limits since available building ground is becoming increasingly scarce. According to the German Institute of Urbanisation, some 130 hectares of surface are being used each day for residential and traffic purposes. Areas of unspoiled nature are sacrificed for these new settlements - even though developed properties situated in top locations are available, too. The Zech Umwelt GmbH has committed itself to revitalise and to economically activate these.

The management of contaminated material flows is one of the key activities executed by the company ECOSOIL Süd. In-house recycling facilities such as construction pit filling, sanitary landfill profiling or treatment facilities form the basis for the successful implementation of tasks. Our company network that comprises numerous affiliated and associated companies as well as external partners is the key factor for our success.

They are extremely short-dated but we need them every day: We are talking about plastic packages. Yoghourt cups and Co. are very often marked with a green dot and are being collected in German households for their later recycling. So far so good, but what happens with those packages that contain residues of dangerous substances, such as engine oil? We, the ZECH UMWELT GmbH, take care of these packages with the help of the most up-to-date plant techniques and in-house developed recycling processes so that these packages can then be once again reintroduced into the valuable materials cycle. The service that we render clearly demonstrates that ecology and economy can be reasonably combined. Thanks to our recycling process, we manage to preserve resources and to reduce CO2-emissions. Moreover, we are able to produce, based on used material, genuine and sorted secondary plastic material, for which a good price can be obtained on the market.

Soil contaminations very often cause impacts on groundwater, too. Therefore, one of our key services is the remediation of contaminated sites. In order to be able to offer adequate treatment processes for contaminated sites, we have at our disposal both off-site and on-site plants. These plants operate on the grounds of the biological process Terraferm® or on the grounds of the soil washing process Terralavar. These two in-house developed treatment processes may also be combined.

No matter if we are talking about industrial plants or business establishments: we are actively involved in all processes and in all places where air-contaminating emissions are generated. In our work, we are supported by the most modern environmental technologies.
