Side Scan Sonar
EdgeTech - Model 4125i - Portable Ultra High Resolution Lightweight Side Scan Sonar System
EdgeTech’s 4125i Side Scan Sonar System was designed with both the Search & Recovery (SAR) and shallow water survey communities in mind. The 4125i utilizes EdgeTech’s Full Spectrum® CHIRP technology, which provides higher resolution imagery at ranges up to 50% greater than non CHIRP systems operating at the same frequency. This translates into more accurate results and faster surveys, thus cutting down on costs. Two dual simultaneous frequency sets are available for the 4125i depending on the application. The 400/900 kHz set is the perfect tool for shallow water survey applications, providing an ideal combination of range and resolution. The 600/1600 kHz set is ideally suited for customers that require ultra high resolution imagery in order to detect very small targets (SAR).
EdgeTech - Model 2000 - Combined Side Scan Sonar & Sub-Bottom Profiler
The EdgeTech 2000-DSS combines EdgeTech’s highly successful line of side scan sonars and sub-bottom profilers into one fully integrated system.
USBL Navigation and Positioning, MRU
EdgeTech - USBL Broadband Acoustic Tracking System (BATS)
The BATS System consists of a Signal Interface Module housed in a standard (3.5”) rack mount chassis (19”). It can be configured for a desktop application with a PC or laptop running the ORE Trackman Windows software or coupled with a standard (3.5”) rack mount PC and standard (3.5”) rack mount Keyboard/Display.The use of Broadband Acoustic Technology provides exceptional range and tracking performance. The software is user friendly and intuitive. The system interface is Ethernet TCP/IP to a PC running a compatible Windows operating system.
Sub-Bottom Profiling
EdgeTech - Model 3400 - Portable Sub-Bottom Profiler
Building on the long running success of the EdgeTech sub-bottom profiler product line, the EdgeTech 3400 provides users many enhancements to current sub-bottom profiler systems. The 3400 is a wideband Frequency Modulated (FM) sub-bottom profiler utilizing EdgeTech’s proprietary Full Spectrum CHIRP technology. The system generates high resolution images of the sub-bottom stratigraphy in oceans, lakes, and rivers and provides excellent penetration in various bottom types. The EdgeTech 3400 comes in a dual 2-16 kHz transducer configuration. The towfish is configured with new PVDF receiver arrays segmented for standard sub-bottom profiling operations or a unique “pipeliner” mode for optimal location and imaging of buried pipelines. The system offers Real-Time Reflection Coefficient Measurements.
Bathymetry
EdgeTech - Model 6205s - Combined Bathymetry & Side Scan Sonar System
Building on the success of the popular 6205 system, EdgeTech has redesigned the 6205s in a smaller, lighter package with additional features and functions that are sure to make on-water survey operations even more effective and efficient. The 6205s is the only bathymetry system to now offer EdgeTech’s motion tolerant side scan sonar feature for operation in more adverse weather conditions. The system is equipped with high-resolution, shallow-water- optimized, frequency pairs; a new sonar shell incorporating a universal mating flange for submersible motion sensors; as well as updated Discover Bathy software. The EdgeTech 6205s is a fully integrated Swath Bathymetry and Dual Frequency Side Scan Sonar System that produces real time, high resolution, side scan imagery and three-dimensional maps of the seafloor.
AUV / ROV / USV Sonars
EdgeTech - Model 2200 and 2205 - AUV / UUV / ROV / ASV / USV Sonars System
The EdgeTech 2200 and 2205 are compact, extremely flexible and configurable sonar system for integration on 3rd party underwater vehicles. They are specially designed for installation and use on Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs / AUV), Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs), Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs), and other hosted platforms. This modular unit can be configured, based on the customers’ application, to collect side scan sonar imagery, sub-bottom profiles and bathymetric data, singly or in concert with one another. Careful attention has been paid to size, weight and power consumption.
EdgeTech - Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV / UUV) Sonar Systems
The EdgeTech 2205 is an extremely flexible and configurable sonar system for unmanned vehicles. The system has been installed on hundreds of Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs), Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs), Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs), and other hosted platforms. This modular unit can be configured, based on the customers’ application, to collect side scan sonar images, sub-bottom profiles and bathymetric data, singly or in concert with one another. Careful attention has been paid to size, weight and power consumption. The system is provided as a complete package including transducer arrays, sensors and pressure vessel, or alternatively the core electronics and storage device can be integrated into the AUV, USV or ROV pressure housing. The system can operate independent of the hosted platform by simply recording and storing the data, or it can be configured to autonomously interoperate with the vehicle during its mission.
Combined Sonars
EdgeTech - Model 2300 - Combined Side Scan Sonar, Bathymetry & Sub-Bottom System
The new 2300 combines EdgeTech’s highly successful line of side scan sonars, subbottom profilers and MPES bathymetry into one fully integrated system.
