Continuous Conveyor Furnace

Sheet Metal Conveyor Belt Furnace

Sheet metal conveyor belt furnaces are characterised by a simple and uncomplicated construction. The powder is dosed directly onto a sheet metal conveyor belt and is transported through the muffled furnace system and the downstream cooling zone, in a protected atmosphere. As a rule, such systems have `open` inlet and outlet cross-sections. Generating an atmosphere in the furnace that can be compared to a system with air locks often leads to higher protective gas consumption. Due to their simple construction, such furnace systems are often used as reduction furnaces for high throughput. Sheet metal conveyor belt furnace characteristics.

Belt Conveyor Furnace

The transport of batch carriers in belt conveyor furnaces and sheet metal conveyor belt furnaces is based on the same concept. However, in belt conveyor furnaces the sheet metal conveyor belt is replaced by a wire mesh belt or a conveyor chain, depending on the operating temperature. Just like in pusher furnaces or roller hearth furnaces this mesh belt or chain also carries the batch carriers that are filled with the powder to be treated. An advantage over the sheet metal conveyor belt that otherwise carries the product is that the inlet and outlet zones can now be fitted out with air locks as the batch carriers are usually supplied and removed in a cyclic process. Cyclic operation also offers the possibility of automated loading and removing of the batch carriers. Characteristics of belt conveyor furnaces
