Fluidic Oscillator Intelligent Water Meters

The SM700 fluidic oscillator water meters address the global need for economic intelligent metering technology for meter sizes of 5/8` through 1`. With no-moving parts, the SM700 is not affected by the wear and subsequent accuracy problems that are caused by particulate matter, such as sand and grit, to prevent lost revenue and offer whole life meter accuracy. Even in applications where water quality is high, degradation in accuracy may still occur and the lost revenue would be protected by the sustained accuracy of the SM700.

Cold Water Meters

The V100 (formerly PSM190) meter is a positive displacement type meter operating on the oscillating piston principle. It utilizes a piston where the water rotates in a measuring chamber, each piston revolution being equivalent to a known volume of water. The piston movement is transferred by appropriate reduction gearing to a straight reading, sealed totalizer.

Cold Water Meters

The H4000 is a horizontal Woltmann-type meter designed for installation where occasional low and moderate to high sustained flows are demanded. Accuracy is maintained in both forward and reverse flow directions and there are various register/pulser options to suit the application.

Multi-Jet Impeller Meter

The M190 (MTH) is a multi-jet (inferential) impeller meter. The impeller and magnet are the only moving parts in the measuring chamber. The impeller movement is transferred by a magnetic coupling to the hermetically sealed register, which can be turned to any position for easy reading. The meter is for use with hot water not intended for human consumption, up to 266 °F (130 °C) and working pressure up to 230 psi (16 bar). Both pressure loss and accuracy tests are made before shipment. No adjustment is needed before installation.  The M190 hot water meter is available in different sizes covering a range of flow rates. 

Counter

This simple battery powered counter allows you to count and remotely display the pulse train from an Elster pulse type industrial meter. The counter can be configured to allow push button reset of the total or locked to prevent inadvertent resets.  Low resolution pulse types are recommended for meter models with multiple options.

Flow Indicator

This battery powered counter / indicator performs the count functions of the CTR30 and additionally includes a rate feature that counts the time interval between pulses. The user can toggle the display between the resulting rate of flow value and totalizer.

Positive Displacement Cold Water Meter

Elster AMCO Water`s C700 oscillating piston type water meters are the most advanced design positive displacement meters available. Boasting dependability and engineering excellence, the C700 line, sizes 5/8” to 2”, can be offered with a variety of registers, pulsers and material configurations, including a choice of waterworks or NSF-61 certified low-lead bronze main cases. These meters are appropriate for applications in direct read, pulse output, batching and rate of flow for plant maintenance. The C700`s uniquely designed chambers, with dual-stage pistons, are custom engineered for performance exceeding applicable AWWA standards. Nylon materials are selected for strategically placed wear areas, providing long life and reduced noise. Indicative of the product`s versatility, all direct read meters are easily converted with pulse generator, encoder or transmitting registers for remote, electronic or automatic meter reading compatibility. For easy and accurate visual reading, C700 meters incorporate a very large (3 1/2`) register with large color-coded odometer wheels. The register`s leak detector registers even the smallest flow due to the unique 1:1 ratio to the piston.

Chemical Meter

For monitoring of chemicals in industrial processes and in the chemical, pharmaceutical and food processing industries for totalization, batch control and rate of flow, Elster AMCO Water offers either Positive Displacement or Turbine design stainless steel meters. These meters offer exceptional accuracy (± 0.5%) and can be configured for temperatures up to 356º F (180º C). Our Precision Stainless Steel Turbine Meters are available ins sizes ½` through 3`. These meters are appropriate for a wide variety of flow applications. Outputs options include sine wave frequency pulse, conditional square wave pulse or blind 4-20mA analogue signal. 316 Stainless Steel Turbine meters are an inferential design that allows fluid to pass through the meter without a change in direction. 316 SS Turbines are manufactured in sizes ½” to 2” and provide accuracy ± 2% at low and normal flows.

Single Jet

For connection to AMR systems, the S130 can be equipped with a dry contact reed switch pulser, rated at 4 watts, which requires power from an external source. The unit is to be wired in series with no regard to polarity. For submetering applications the pulser interfaces to automatic meter reading equipment; for industrial applications meter pulser provides input to totalizing and process control equipment. The S130 single-jet hot-water meter (up to 195°F and 150 psi) and cold water meter (up to 104° F) offers high accuracy (±2%) throughout the normal flow range, exceeding AWWA positive displacement and multi-jet meter specifications, and low flow accuracy (± 5%). The normal operating range of the S130 is 1 to 22 gpm.
