Emcee - Digital Conductivity Meter

The Model 1153 Digital Conductivity meter provides a measurement  of electrical conductivity of fluids in conductivity units (CU), which are defined as picosiemens per meter in ASTM D 2624. The rugged Electro/mechanical design of the Model 1153 meter facilitates ease of use for both laboratory and field applications. Initially the meter was designed and developed for safety reasons to measure the electrical conductivity of hydrocarbon fuels, particularly jet fuels. Additional pre-amp versions are available to accommodate measurement of a variety of fluids for use in many different applications.

Emcee - Digital Conductivity Meter

The Model 1152 Digital Conductivity meter provides a measurement of electrical conductivity of fluids in conductivity units (CU), which are defined as picosiemens per meter in ASTM D2624. The rugged Electro/mechanical design of the Model 1152 meter facilitates ease of use for both laboratory and field applications. Initially the meter was designed and developed for safety reasons to measure the electrical conductivity of hydrocarbon fuels, particularly jet fuels. Subsequently, the meter was modified with other conductivity ranges to accommodate measurement of a variety of fluids for use in many different applications.

Emcee - Precision Conductivity Meter

Many applications require highly accurate “rest” electrical conductivity measurements of fluids ranging in values from less than one pS/m to several thousand. “Rest” conductivity is the electrical conductivity at the initial instant of current measurement after a dc voltage is impressed between electrodes (reciprocal of the resistance of uncharged fluid in the absence of ionic depletion or polarization). The Precision Conductivity Meter was originally designed to precisely measure the conductivity of hydrocarbon fuels only.  Limiting factors are the viscosity of the fluid and the conductivity level to be measured.  However, electrical conductivity of other fluids can be measured and/or ranges of the instrument can be modified by Emcee to accommodate higher conductivity values than the standards offered.

Emcee - Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) in Fuel System Icing Inhibitor (FSII) Test System

The aviation industry has recently encountered the problem of DEF (diesel exhaust fluid) contamination in FSII (fuel system icing inhibitor). Therefore, a need exists to determine if FSII is free of DEF prior to addition of FSII to aviation fuel.

Emcee - Micro Separometer

Water Separation Characteristic, Free Water And Particulate Testing (ASTM Standard Test Methods D3948, D7224, D7261 & D4860)(D3948 is included in Specifications D1655 and D7566). For quality control purposes, water separation characteristics of fuels are rated to determine the amount of surface active materials (surfactants) present. Surfactants degrade the performance of filter separators used to remove water from the fuel. The presence of water can impair engine performance and initiate microbiological growth, which can cause corrosion in tanks and filter plugging in fuel lines. Also for quality control purposes, fuels are subjected to “Clear & Bright” tests to determine the amount of free water and particulate matter in mid-distillates.
