Food companies have several opportunities to test Emmepiemme ohmic technology for their purposes.

Friction heating is based on molecular rubbing, more precisely the same molecules of the product inside the heater are set in motion and the friction effect release heat. It is basically composed by an asynchronous motor driven by inverter, the rotor is connected to a special disk, rotating at a small distance from a stator disk.

Emmepiemme’s microwave heater has been designed to heat plastic or glass opened or closed packages.

Emmepiemme`s volumetric pump is the ideal pumping solution to feed the ohmic heating equipment in case the product contains high percentages of solid pieces, as well as in case low throughputs are required in the presence of solids.

The electrical relative conductivity of a solution is measured by determining the resistance of the solution between two cylindrical electrodes separated by a fixed distance. An alternating voltage is used in order to avoid electrolysis.
