Water & Wastewater Treatment Systems - Evaporator

Encon - Thermal Evaporator

ENCON Thermal Evaporators are a time-tested method for economically reducing the water portion of water-based wastes. It is our most flexible evaporation system in terms of heat sources available and the different ways to configure the thermal evaporation system including batch, semi-batch, and continuous operation as well as options to recover steam as distilled water.

Encon - Vacuum Evaporator

The Vacuum Evaporator is an electrically heated and energy efficient vacuum evaporator utilized by industrial and commercial facilities as an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional wastewater treatment methods or wastewater hauling. The ENCON Vacuum electric evaporator converts contaminated wastewater to clean condensate that can be reused or discharged to the POTW.

Encon - Mechanical Vapor Recompression (MVR) Evaporator

The ENCON MVR Evaporator is a forced circulation flash evaporator utilizing mechanical vapor recompression. Available in capacities from 300-4,000 gallons/hour, these highly Group-MVCautomated systems operate on steam and compressed air at a typical operating cost of $0.01-$0.02 per gallon of condensate. A variety of material of construction options are available to handle just about any waste stream.

Encon - Circulating Flash Evaporator (CFE)

The ENCON Circulating Flash Evaporator (CFE) is a continuous circulating flash evaporator used for wastewater minimization, concentration and crystallization. The forced circulation design keeps the waste stream and its constituents in motion which reduces the potential for fouling and scaling. This makes the CFE a terrific technology for high solids applications such as landfill leachate, oil & gas produced water, RO reject, flue gas desulfurization (FGD) wastewater and other heavy brines.

Encon - Drum Evaporator

ENCON Drum Evaporators are electrically heated small volume evaporator available in two sizes. The DE-2 is a batch evaporator (auto-fill option is also available) that can process 200 gallons per 5 day week. The DE-4 is a auto-fill evaporator that can process 400 gallons per 5 day week.

Water & Wastewater Treatment Systems

Encon - Filtration/Separation System

Technologies such as bag filters, ultrafiltration, filter press systems, centrifuge systems, and oil/water separators are most typically utilized to separate suspended solids or oils from water.  If your facility is generating a waste stream such as vibratory deburring wastewater, coolants, or wash water entrained with suspended solids or oils, filtration may be an excellent standalone solution or critical pre-treatment step in your wastewater treatment process.

Encon - Reverse Osmosis (RO) System

Reverse osmosis (RO) is a powerful filtration method used in wastewater treatment that employs a semi-permeable membrane to remove ions, unwanted molecules, and larger particles from water. This process is driven by applying pressure to the water being treated and forcing it through the RO membrane. The membrane`s pores are small enough to block contaminants and allow only clean water to pass through, effectively reducing the presence of dissolved salts, bacteria, and organic substances.

Encon - Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) System

Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) is an advanced water/wastewater treatment solution that aims to recover all water used in industrial processes. Water reclamation is maximized and the contaminants are reduced to a solid waste for disposal. This strategy eliminates liquid waste entirely, maximizing water efficiency.  ZLD systems typically employ both membrane technologies and thermal processes to achieve zero liquid discharge.

Encon - pH Adjustment System

The term "pH" (potential Hydrogen) refers to the hydrogen ion concentration in a solution, indicating how acidic or basic (alkaline) that solution is on a scale from 0 to 14. Solutions with a pH less than 7 are considered acidic, while those with a pH greater than 7 are alkaline.

Encon - Oil/Water Separator

An oil/water separator is a device designed to separate oil and other hydrocarbons from water to treat industrial wastewater or augment a wastewater treatment process.  Separators are widely used in various industries, including oil and gas production, manufacturing, petrochemical manufacturing, wastewater treatment, and marine operations. The principle behind oil/water separators is based on the density difference between oil and water, which causes oil to float on the water`s surface, allowing it to be removed more easily.  There are other factors that go into designing an effective oil/water separator system such as oil droplet size, size of the separator tank, flow rate, etc.
