Engineering
The Diploma in Engineering introduces young people to some of the key themes of engineering and gives them an understanding of basic engineering principles. Focussing on applied engineering principles and techniques in real life contexts, the history and application of engineering and the latest developments and predictions within engineering. Engineering Diploma students will complete a series of compulsory and optional courses, all designed to give them knowledge, skills and experience.
Construction & the Built Environment
The Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment introduces students to the world that we have created. It gives students an understanding of land and materials, how the built environment affects people and communities and what factors influence its development. The Diploma also provides students with an understanding of the different careers that each industry offers, and looks to create the skills and qualities they need to succeed in these jobs.
Diploma in Science
The Diploma in Science online consultation is open to all parties that have an interest in the success of the Diploma including employers, students, parents, education and training providers, members of the science community and professional bodies. We invite you to take part in the consultation and inform us of your views and opinions which will help shape the content of this exciting new qualification, due to go live in 2011. The questionnaire will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. For data protection purposes all responses will be treated as confidential to the Science Diploma Development Partnership.
