Continuous Monitoring Services

Biogas Systems are the proud to be associated with AmbiSense Ltd as a distributor and service support provider across Australasia for their Gasflux  continuous monitoring device. GasfluxTM  is the world’s first continuous gas and flow monitoring device (patent pending) for LFG and ground gas applications. The technology enables real-time monitoring of landfills, brownfield sites, onshore O&G facilities and industrial sites, for a range of applications and desired outcomes.

Servicing and Maintenance Services

Our field technicians are trained to service and maintain a range of equipment used in numerous applications. These include flares, blower systems, leachate treatment systems, monitoring equipment, pumps, loggers and nearly everything associated with landfill and anaerobic digester applications. We ensure all our field technicians have undergone specific training for the complete equipment range encountered, with both in-house and external training being provided.

Detailed Design Services

Detailed design is an important part of what we do at Biogas Systems. Typically, few companies have the expertise, skill or insurances to generate detailed design for LFG, ground gas and leachate treatment systems. Our team can generate detailed designs that are construction ready which are underpinned by having a real understanding of the construction of such systems.

Hazardous Ground Gas Risk Assessment Services

Hazardous Ground Gas Risk Assessment (HGGRA) applies to both LFG and ground gas which can pose significant risks to both the environment and to human health. Risks from HGG are unique in comparison to other contaminants in the environment such as soil and water contamination, as gases can move in any direction, causes explosions and create an asphyxiating atmosphere.

Resource Assessment Services

A landfill resource assessment typically involves characterising the site by carrying out predictive modelling and calibrating these results by undertaking a pumping trial. The objective of a landfill gas pumping trial is to determine the volumes and qualities of LFG that can be sustainably extracted from a landfill. The information generated from the trial gives assurance that the correct management approach is selected e.g. passive management or active extraction. Where active extraction can be shown to be sustainable, the trial will provide information on the required design parameters of a permanently installed extraction system to ensure the system is adequate in scale so that all the can be controlled correctly.

Monitoring Services

Monitoring is an important part of landfill and ground gas management. All our personnel are experienced and trained to undertake monitoring across a range of applications including the following: LFG perimeter monitoring bores. LFG extraction well monitoring and balancing. Landfill surface emission monitoring. Gas collection system (GCS) optimisation. Building gas monitoring. Service pit gas monitoring. Groundwater monitoring. Surface water monitoring.

Data Management and Reporting Services

Data management is a critical component of any operation, let alone where there is a high degree of regulatory compliance required. The equipment we provide, and our personnel are a great combination to provide a very high level of data management, interpretation and reporting.
