ENTSO-E software

This map is a comprehensive *illustration* of the transmission system network operated by members of the European Network of Transmission System Operators. Network elements are not located at their exact geographic location. The map shows transmission lines designed for 220kV voltage and higher and generation stations with net generation capacity of more than 100MW.

Transparency has improved markedly in Europe over the past few years, culminating in Regulation (EU) No 5 43/2013 of 14 June 2013 on submission and publication of data in electricity markets. Through this Regulation, it has now become mandatory for European Member State data providers and owners to submit fundamental information related to electricity generation, load, transmission and balancing for publication through the ENTSO-E Transparency Platform.

ENTSO-E Communication & Connectivity Service Platform (ECCo SP) is a standardized communication platform for the Energy market. It contains ECP (Energy Communication Platform) and EDX (ENTSO-E Data Exchange) as a software solution for establishing communication between TSOs.
