Column design and fabrication: ENVIMAC offers design, fabrication and optimization of columns for fluid separation processes such as distillation, absorption, stripping and liquid/liquid extraction and column internals. Columns and vessel are designed and fabricated according to PED or ASME code and fulfill highest demands regarding quality and performance. State-of the art column internals and individual solutions designed to solve the customer’s specific problems assure satisfying and long lasting solutions.

ENVIMAC`s high-efficiency random packing R-PAC is a cylindrical packing, which was especially developed for the separation of gas/liquid from aggressive media, for direct heat and mass transfer for biotechnological processes as well as for liquid/liquid extraction. In comparison with classical random packings, R-PAC, which is made of vitrified clay and ceramic, has the following advantages: lower pressure drop, higher loadability, better separation performance, high mechanical stability, low acquisition costs.

McPac, a high-efficiency, random packing made of metal, is characterised by an exceptionally low pressure drop, wide loading range and high separation efficiency. It was especially developed for rectification under vacuum and normal pressure as well as for absorption, stripping and vapour condensation and is designed to intensify direct heat transfer. McPac is soil-resistant, which makes it also suitable for liquids containing solids.

SR-PAC, ENVIMAC`s new high-efficiency random packing, belongs to the group of sphere packings, characterised by a highly perforated surface. They offer a low pressure drop as well as high separation efficiency when used for thermal separation processes such as absorption, rectification and liquid/liquid extraction. In comparison with classical random packings, SR-PAC, which is made of vitrified clay and porcelain, has the following advantages: lower pressure drop, higher loadability; increased capacity when stacked whilst maintaining a low pressure drop; high mechanical stability, low acquisition costs.

The liquid distributor is an essential part of every separation tower or column. The quality of the liquid distribution has large influence on column performance. ENVIMAC Engineering GmbH designs, constructs and delivers modern column internals like liquid and gas distributors with performance features such as high-efficiency distribution, high resistance to soiling and low pressure drop. We provide distributors made from various materials, like high performance plastics and stainless steel and different designs, always designed and customized in regard of the process specifications and the column packing type. A packing, e.g. random packings, need a support to be installed inside the column. The support grid should be strong enough to withstand the weight of the packing and the hold-up, but also provide enough open area for the gas to pass without creating large pressure drop.

Collection trays are used in tall columns, when the packed height is very large. In this case, the liquid is collected and re-distributed in order to guarantee a high separation efficiency throughout the packed bed. Different types of collection trays, re-distributors and combi-trays, which combine both the collection and the liquid distribution in one device, are offered by ENVIMAC.

Down hold grids are used as a bed limiter in packed columns. The keep the random packed bed in its place to avoid packings to be discharged from the column, e.g. at high gas or vapour loads or when high pressure is applied. We offer down hold grids or bed limiters with low pressure drop in different shapes and made from various materials such as PE, PP, PVDF, SS304, SS316 and many more.

McPac - ENVIMAC’s high-performance, 4th generation random metal packing Mc-Pac has been designed as a special random packing for all kinds of rectification, absorption, desorption and extraction processes. It features lower pressure drop and higher separation capacity compared to standard packings, is available in 3 sizes and especially insensitive to fouling and thus can be applied in all kinds of thermal separation and direct heat exchange processes. ENVIPAC: Only ENVIMAC Engineering GmbH provides the original ENVIPAC high-performance tower packing. ENVIPAC is a spherical lattice-type packing that been specifically developed for gas treatment. It can also be used in processes with very low liquid loads.
