Enviro-Tech Systems (ETS) products

The Enviro-Tech Systems API 421 Separator is an atmospheric horizontal vessel designed and built for free oil and solids removal.

Enviro-Tech Systems offers numerous skimmers in addition to the API-421. ETS Skimmers can be either vertical or horizontal in configuration, and range from atmospheric to ASME Code Pressure Vessels. ETS Skimmers can remove from 150 micron down to 50 micron size contaminants, and possess the ability to clean oily sands and solids. The fluid can be controlled internally with adjustable weirs or externally with ETS Water Leg, or Level Controller and Level Control Valve. These units are based on intermittent oil/water inlet flow for taking advantage of Stoke`s Law and it`s principle of the rate of oil in water.  This equipment is suitable where the oil/water mixture has not been exposed to high shearing forces by devices such as mixers, pumps, control valves, cyclone separators, eductors, etc.

The Enviro-Sep, Corrugated Plate Interceptor (CPI), design is based on the principle of Stokes Law. CPI efficiency is determined by calculating the relationships between the flow-rate, oil and water specific gravity, temperature and oil content.

The Enviro-Cell is designed to provide three (3) important phases in oil/water separation. First it provides an efficient method of creating the flotation process with minimum moving parts. Secondly, the Enviro-Cell offers a simple method to remove the separated oil and finally it provides sufficient retention time for the process to work correctly.

Possessing similar attributes to the Horizontal IGF, the Enviro-Cell Compact Flotation Unit (CFU) –  Vertical IGF provides three (3) important phases in oil/water separation while capitalizing on its compact design for reduced space consumption; making this unit perfect for applications where space availability is limited.

ETS Deoiling Hydro-Cyclones balance oil removal efficiency and overall capacity to ensure that separation requirements are met in the most cost effective and space saving way. The liners have been designed so that the Hydro-Cyclone is ultra-slim with a high number of liners to accomodate a given vessel size.

Oil/Water separation and sand cleaning occurs as intermittent rain and washdown water flows through a series of closely spaced baffle plates. The tight spacing of the baffle plates creates quiescent zones which reduce the distance a given oil droplet must rise to be separated from the main flow.  Once in the quiescent zone, there is sufficient time for coalescence of the oil particles. The ever-growing droplets then migrate up the underside of the baffle into the oil riser.  The risers prevent the oil droplet from being swept back into the turbulent flow stream and remixing with the incoming water. Additional oil/water separation is achieved through coalescence as a result of the large number of baffle plates, long retention time, and low energy output of the Skim Pile.

TS sump tanks are typically used to collect and treat water from drainage collection tanks, oily water runoff and equipment skids. Our Sump tanks come in a range of sizes and configurations to accommodate specific needs. In addition, the tanks are equipped with oil skimmer weir system and oil removal pumps. Coalescing media along with plate packs are available if added efficiency is needed. When determining flow rate, produced water flow, deck surface area, washdown water, and open/closed drain water must be considered with the respective inlet oil concentrations. These elements are critical in selecting equipment that will achieve your desired effluent. Since sump caissons are designed for intermittent flows, the worst case for operation is used as the basis for design.
