n the early 1990s, Chartwell Information Publishers began collecting and publishing the results of surveys of gate rate charged at waste facilities.  When The Envirobiz Group Inc. took over Chartwell operations in the fall of 2005, it was determined that survey effort needed to be enhanced to provide a more representative cross-section of gate rates across the United States. The Envirobiz Group Inc. now provides much more detailed examination of state wide and interstate gate rates and trends than anytime in its history; these reports are now provided in the Chartwell Solid Waste Digest.

Chartwell Solid Waste Digest Established in 1990, the Chartwell Solid Waste Digest has evolved from a newsletter into the solid waste industry’s leading independent research service on the business of managing waste. The Chartwell Solid Waste Digest team provides an independent, third-party analysis and perspective on key solid waste market trends.

Mr. Cary Perket has over 30 years experience in hazardous waste management. Mr. Perket background includes regulatory positions with State of Minnesota and Wisconsin hazardous waste programs, consultant to manufacturers on hazardous waste management, management of superfund and other remediation projects, and the permitting of waste management facilities. He has been involved with every EI Digest report since 1989.

The Envirobiz Group, Inc. provides nationwide databases and/or worksheets with hazardous waste shipment information.  At the request of customer, the hazardous waste shipment records can be customized to include only the shipment records of interest (waste type, amount shipped, waste management, etc) to the customer. The shipment records can be further sorted into worksheets (e.g. state by state) to make it easier for the custom staff to utilize the shipment records.

The EI Digest is a business research service serving stakeholders in hazardous waste management. The EI Digest`s annual reports on commercial hazardous and nonhazardous management by fuel usage, incineration, and landfill are based on ongoing proprietary research efforts that have been undertaken since 1989. The EI Digest FYI, the weekly electronic service, provides data and perspective with a broader scope than the annual reports covering the additional services like fuel blenders, metal recovery, solvent recovery, underground injection, and wastewater treatment. From time to time, the EI Digest undertakes special reports on hazardous or universal waste topics.

Solid Waste Digest Established in 1990, the Solid Waste Digest has evolved from a newsletter into the solid waste industry’s leading independent research service on the business of managing waste. The Solid Waste Digest team provides an independent, third-party analysis and perspective on key solid waste market trends. The Chartwell Solid Waste Digest is widely recognized as “the original source” on gate rates trends for both municipal solid waste and construction and demolition wastes. In 2010, the Chartwell Solid Waste Digest is offering individual state reports on municipal solid waste gate trends for the period of 2001 through 2009. These innovative, new reports provide decision makers with both an understanding of both recent and long term gate rate changes.
