Water Treatment Technologies
EnviroChemie - Precipitation, Flocculation and Sedimentation Technology
Proven, resilient process for wastewater treatment that has been used successfully for many decades. Safe treatment of wastewater to required limit values. In the precipitation process, dissolved ions are converted into insoluble compounds in physico-chemical reactions triggered by the addition of suitable chemicals that are partly developed in-house. In the subsequent flocculation process, tiny solid particles coalesce to form larger-size flocs. Both process steps can be designed for use in batch operation or continuous operation mode (stirred-tank cascade), depending on the type and quantity of wastewater.
EnviroChemie - Neutralisation Water Treatment Technology
Neutralisation of wastewater prior to discharge into the sewerage system or further treatment. Neutralisation of wastewater to comply with official requirements and protect the environment. Regulatory authorities require that wastewater be neutralised before it is discharged into public sewers or bodies of water. The pH value must be adjusted to between pH 6.5 and 9 for this prupose. pH values that deviate from this range can damage the sewerage system itself, microorganisms in sewage treatment plants and bodies of water. Acidic or alkaline wastewater is mainly produced during cleaning or rinsing processes.
EnviroChemie - Flotation Plants for Industrial Wastewater Treatment System
High-performance flotation plants for industrial wastewater treatment. Flotation plants for wastewater treatment involving stringent cleaning efficiency requirements. In the flotation process, gas bubbles facilitate the creation of aggregates from dispersed particles; these then float in the liquid medium and can be easily separated. EnviroChemie uses two time-tested processes for flotation systems: dissolved-air flotation and electroflotation.
EnviroChemie - Filtration / Adsorption for Water Treatment System
Efficient, cost-effective water treatment. Water and process water treatment with filtration and adsorption, using either pre-treatment or secondary treatment. Filtration is one of the oldest known water treatment processes. It is a very efficient and cost-effective process, characterised by excellent resilience and flexibility, that offers a wide range of potential applications. Filtration processes are further divided into adsorption processes, such as activated carbon filtration, in which dissolved water constituents are adsorbed, and filtration processes that separate turbidity through surface or depth filtration.
EnviroChemie - Ion Exchangers System
Selective substance removal from wastewater and water. Ion exchangers for selective substance removal from wastewater and water. An ion exchange process is used when water needs to be treated for use in production facilities or when substances, including valuable ones, need to be extracted from wastewater. The filter material used in ion exchangers, ion exchange resin, is a special synthetic resin-based filter material featuringwith different functional groups. The main difference between the various ion exchange resins lies in the type of functional group. Our water-treatment experts select the most appropriate ion exchange resins for your specific water treatment requirements.
EnviroChemie - Model AOP - Advanced Oxidation Processes System
Industrial wastewater, especially the type produced by the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, often contains problematic substances that must be eliminated before discharge into the public sewerage system or directly into the environment. Environmentally friendly and compliant discharge can be ensured through the use of our Envochem AOP plants. The combination of UV light and water peroxide or the use of ozone lead to the formation of highly reactive radicals that can oxidise complex molecules or active substances. This results in a reduction in toxicity, improvement of biodegradability and minimisation of external disposal costs. Our experts in AOP processes determine the best and most reliable treatment method for your task in preliminary tests, and then come up with the appropriate plant solution. Our EnviModul modular plant concepts, which are set up separately and can be easily expanded, have a proven track record.
EnviroChemie - Membrane Biological Process for Wastewater Treatment System
High-performance biological process for wastewater treatment. Compact, space-saving process with high cleaning performance. Membrane bioreactors for wastewater treatment consist of an activated sludge process combined with subsequent membrane filtration, which removes both solids and sludge particles. Because any outflow from a membrane bioreactor is virtually clear, further sludge separation can be dispensed with, this saving space. Membrane bioreactors are used when high quality demands are made on purified water, for example, when the water is to be reused. Our water experts work with you to develop the most suitable plant solution for your specific tasks, so that the required water quality grades are reliably available and cleaning objectives are achieved.
EnviroChemie - Aerobic Wastewater Treatment Processes System
Biological wastewater treatment with activated sludge. Degrading organic load, nitrogen and phosphorus using aerobic wastewater treatment. Aerobic wastewater treatment involves organically contaminated wastewater, nitrogen and phosphorus beeing decomposed microbiologically using dissolved oxygen. Today, wastewater with high organic loads is often treated energy efficiently and with minimised disposal costs, using a combination of anaerobic and downstream aerobic treatment stages. Our Biomar plant solutions are used for wastewater in many industries, such as the food processing, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
EnviroChemie - Anaerobic Wastewater Treatment Processes System
Anaerobe wastewater treatment is a proven technology for treating wastewater with high levels of organic contamination. Resource-saving wastewater treatment with a high degradation rate and energy recovery. Anaerobic processes for wastewater treatment are biological processes in which organic contaminants are converted into biogas and thus removed from the wastewater. Anaerobic processes are characterised by high degradation rates as well as minimised electricity consumption and sludge generation. Using the biogas produced in the form of electricity or heat reduces the activity’s CO2 footprint, while high volume-specific conversion rates mean minimal space requirements.
EnviroChemie - Wastewater Sterilisation/Decontamination System
Thermal inactivation of infectious wastewater and treatment of radioactive wastewater. Specialised solutions for wastewater treatment for laboratories and research institutes Wastewater treatment in laboratories and research institutes is a challenge that can be safely mastered by using our specialised plants. Our Sterifix plants are used for wastewater sterilisation in the pharmaceutical industry, research laboratories (security level S2, S3 and S4) and in quarantine areas in hospitals. Our BioChroma plants use a combination of biological, adsorptive and filtration processes to treat radioactive wastewater, for example from radiation therapy.
