Environmental Coatings - Calcium Aluminate Cement for Sewage Repair
C-120 Cement is a specially designed, fast-setting, volume-stable patching material based on calcium aluminate cement. It is available in both standard and cold-set formulas and requires only potable water for mixing. This cement can be used above or below grade on vertical, horizontal, and overhead surfaces without requiring forms. It is engineered for the repair and protection of sewage infrastructure such as manholes, wet wells, lift stations, concrete pipes, and wastewater treatment plants, offering high resistance to biogenic corrosion by H2S and H2SO4. Additionally, it is suited for the repair of sidewalks, driveways, expressways, ceilings, walls, curbs, and panels, and can endure constant moisture contact. The product incorporates proprietary densifying agents for enhanced resistance to acidic conditions and maintains high alkalinity for rust protection. Rapid setting, non-shrink, and tenaciously bonding, C-120 Cement presents an effective solution for both structural repairs and protection against freeze-thaw cycles.

Recognizing where typical industry coatings were failing with only a 30% resistance, we knew we needed a solution that could withstand the hot Phoenix Valley underground environments. So we researched, engineered, and began to manufacture bisphenol-A novolac epoxy unlike any other. It was the first product to offer 98% acid resistance, and is the highest overall chemical resistant coating on the market. We designed this coating to withstand the heaviest and most corrosive environments.

Notably, it withstands Sulfuric Acid concentrations up to 50%, making it suitable for environments where lower acid resistance suffice compared to other high-end models like the Sewer Shield 100. Ideal applications include manholes, lift stations, grit chambers, sewer pipes, and containment areas requiring chemical protection. Installation requires meticulous surface preparation, which may involve abrasive blasting, steam cleaning, and acid etching followed by rigorous pH checks. The system entails applying a trowel layer to a specified thickness, followed by a smooth finish and spark testing for defect detection. Both new and old concrete surfaces can be conditioned to accommodate this lining, ensuring comprehensive coverage and durability. Compatible with both small and large patching jobs, the system supports rapid repair and reinforcement of concrete infrastructure in technically demanding settings.

SEWER SHIELD® 150 SPRAYABLE is an advanced 100% solids, solvent-free, and low-odor epoxy liner system that is designed to be environmentally friendly. It is highly resistant to a variety of harsh chemicals including acids, caustic solutions, oils, and grease. Particularly, it maintains excellent resistance to Sulfuric Acid up to 50% concentrations. Its low modulus characteristics provide enhanced tolerance to thermal cycles and impact resistance, making it ideal for all-weather application. This lining system is extensively utilized for protecting structures exposed to chemical attacks, such as manholes, lift stations, sewer pipes, grit chambers, clarifiers, and other wastewater and containment systems. This robust system is particularly suitable for the wastewater and chemical industries. SEWER SHIELD® 150 SPRAYABLE is available in ivory color and can be prepared and applied following specific surface preparation guidelines including abrasive blasting and hydrocleaning. The product is mixed using pre-measured kits and can be applied using automated mixing equipment for rapid installation. Coverage rates are influenced by surface texture and temperature. For cleanup, methyl ethyl ketone or xylol should be used. Stored properly, it has a shelf life of two years.
