Asbestos Training

Asbestos training includes nine asbestos courses. EEA is accredited by the New York State Department of Health under approval from the USEPA. Each asbestos certification course requires an annual refresher, which varies in length according to discipline. EEA offers competitive pricing, group rates, union member discounts, and both off- and on-site training. This accreditation allows us to present asbestos certification training programs to those who are conducting or intend to conduct, asbestos containing materials (ACM) related activities. The program meets the New York State Department of Labor and US Environmental Protection Agency requirements for certification.

Hazardous Materials Training Courses

EEA offers a complete schedule of Hazardous Materials training courses. Haz-Mat training is designed to meet USEPA RCA and USOSHA Hazardous Waste operations requirements including remediation of PCBs in light fixtures and window adhesives. We maintain the necessary credentials to present the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10-hour and 30-hour Construction Safety courses, the OSHA 40 General Site Worker I (HazMat) and OSHA Haz-Mat Supervisor training. EEA also offers specialized, on-demand Safety Training in Hazard Communication, Permit Required Confined Space, Fall Protection and Fire Prevention.

EEA Lead Training Course

There are three categories of Lead Training. Need for training is based on specific regulatory requirements or by the intent of the home improvement activities. US HUD and US EPA requirements apply primarily to pre-1978 residential or “target” housing or child-occupied facilities. The US OSHA Construction requirements are determined by the amount of airborne lead an employee may be or has been exposed to regardless of where the work takes place.
