TDPA for Single-use Plastics

TDPA™ is a family of masterbatches and those used for manufacturing single-use plastics are commercially known as DCP. TDPA™ is added to conventional plastic resins, primarily polyolefins such as PE and PP, in the manufacturing of oxo-biodegradable plastics. Plastics with TDPA™ exhibit properties similar to conventional plastics but they can degrade and ultimately biodegrade at the end of their useful life depending on the conditions of the surrounding environment. EPI does not fabricate single-use plastics but sells TDPA™ to plastic manufacturers who make these products. The plastic products made using TDPA™ technology are called oxo-biodegradable plastics?¹?. If you want to buy TDPA™ or products made with TDPA™, please contact us for details. Restrictions may apply in the U.S. and in EU Member States.

Stabilizers

Antioxidant Masterbatch

SCP-antioxidant masterbatch is used to reduce thermal-oxidation during processing. EPI offers a range of antioxidant masterbatches. They can be used by itself with conventional plastics or in combination with TDPA™ to address the following issues: Reduce the degrading effects of the heat generated in severe processing conditions (shear stress, temperature and oxygen). Provide protection against premature degradation for poorly stabilized resins. Reduce the damages caused by the oxidative reaction of certain pigments and inks. Retard the oxidation process in recycled plastics. Provide customized extended product life to TDPA™ oxo-biodegradable plastics.

Enviro Cover System

Enviro Cover Film

Enviro Cover is a unique nonreusable geosynthetic film, engineered to stretch over the uneven surface of working face. Enviro Cover does not require removal and provides continuous coverage until the landfill operation begins on the next day. Because of its impermeable nature, Enviro Cover effectively controls odor emissions; sheds rainwater and minimizes water infiltration into the landfill. It meets US Environmental Protection Agency requirement for alternative daily cover for landfills.
