Illumination has always been the limiting factor for zoom inspection performance. While today’s cameras have the optical zoom to resolve detail hundreds of feet away, camera size combined with the confined space of a pipe leaves little room for lighting. Typically, zoom cameras use offset lamps whose target zone coincides with camera view only at a specific distance range. As a result, optimal viewing over the full length of a pipe requires continuous adjustment, and overall inspection range suffers. Patent-pending Haloptic illumination technology overcomes these constraints. By projecting a halo-shaped column of light that encircles the camera and conforms to the contour of pipe walls, the new Haloptic-based QuickView sees farther, requires no midstream readjustment, and delivers vivid, colorful video with markedly decreased gain, noise and distortion.

Without requiring confined space entry, DiaMetrik measures depth and width of manholes, as well as diameter of incoming lines—all to an accuracy within 0.2”. This quick, easy dimensional data makes it simple to complete inspections, plan relining and calculate flow capacities. A collapsible 15’ pole and articulating measurement head enable DiaMetrik to reach every structure requiring measurement, yet stow conveniently in the bed of a pick-up truck. Powered by an industrial-grade laser, DiaMetrik takes readings from 100 mm inside pipes to compensate for any dimensional inconsistencies at the pipe’s mouth. It presents readings on a digital display, stores the 10 most recent measurements, and operates on battery power.

The ROVVER X 400 inspection crawler is designed for large diameter pipe, and has an integral camera lift to rise above high flows. Ideal for inspecting interceptors and trunk lines 18” to 120” in diameter. Four (4) aimable LED tri-lamps and two (2) LED path lamps. Rangefinders to center camera, measure pipe diameter.
