Historical Restoration
Here in New England and throughout the United States we are blessed with some wonderful antique architecture and appointments. As buildings and details age, they require preservation. From the painstaking removal of lead paint to the rebuilding and reinstallation of period-appropriate detailing, EnviroVantage devotes careful attention throughout the restoration process. Lead Paint Removal
Our residential lead abatement projects vary in size from responding to a single child poisoning case in a domicile to abating the lead paint in a 600-unit housing complex. Our commercial abatement projects range in scope from removing the lead paint from an entire aircraft hanger to the wood trim on the Old North Church in Boston. We utilize modern methods such as Sponge, Ice blasting, and the more conventional techniques including sandblasting, needle scalers, and roto peens, as well as plain hand scraping. No two projects are the same and most, if not all, projects require many different removal processes.
Asbestos Abatement
EnviroVantage is equipped to handle all aspects of different asbestos projects, from 75,000 square feet of tile and mastic removal in a school, to a complete asbestos boiler and breeching removal. Most projects involve many different types of asbestos materials that require different containments, configurations, and specialty tools from caulking cutters to mini skid steers with weighted razor scrapers. EnviroVantage has trained personnel and all of the necessary equipment in-house to complete your asbestos removal project. EnviroVantage will handle the entire project from Notifications to proper Final Disposal, including all pertinent documentation for a complete and successful project.
Mold Remediation
EnviroVantage utilizes many methods to eliminate mold, from treatment of new building materials at construction, to ice blasting, drainage sloping, installation of sump pumps, dehumidification/air exchangers, and roof/attic ventilation - whatever the job dictates for successfull completion. No project is the same and each requires careful examination to solve and remediate the mold problem. In addition we are a distributor of a national line of anti-microbial products that we stock at our centrally located facility. EnviroVantage can apply these products to warranty against mold on new construction projects or we can apply them to remediate mold on current projects. We also will supply you with anti-microbial products that limit the future growth of mold in problematic areas. Demolition
EnviroVantage crews are fully trained in demolition, concrete cutting and coring, and have the equipment in-house to complete the project. EnviroVantage has found that hazardous materials are present in most demolition projects. It does not make economic sense to have a remediation contractor and then a demolition contractor complete separate portions of the project; this is best handled by one contractor with proper pollution insurance and workers cross-trained in these disciplines. Having one EnviroVantage supervisor controlling everything not only saves time on the projects, but it creates continuity with one point of contact and accountability. EnviroVantage has completed projects ranging in size from three complete interior 4-story dorms demolished back to slab in 17 days with 100 workers, to ongoing, phased hospital projects that take years to complete with only 3 workers at a time. EnviroVantage utilizes systems, from full containment, large-scale sand blasting on mills with our own VecLoader® for clean-up, to the small-scale preparation for welding by spot removing paint on steel. EnviroVantage has adapted its practices on projects in response to the ever-changing needs due to new or more stringent regulations and OSHA requirements.
