EPLAN Smart Mounting is a browser-based software designed to streamline the manual installation of mechanical and electrotechnical components within control cabinet manufacturing. It integrates precise work instructions with 3D visualizations to enhance efficiency in constructing control cabinets. The software is accessible directly at a workstation in workshops and production sites, necessitating only minimal training. By using digital twins from EPLAN Pro Panel, Smart Mounting guides assembly technicians in installing components such as DIN rails and cable ducts, providing visual representations and exact dimensions for accurate placement. The software employs a traffic-light system to track the installation status of each component, facilitating real-time updates and communication with engineering departments. Centralized data management allows for the current production status and order insights, enabling swift adaptation to changes and optimization of processes. Smart Mounting supports production management by offering detailed analytics and monitoring dashboards for comprehensive process control.
