The Paladin 5 is the latest version of ESG’s next generation digital microseismic recorder. As the backbone of ESG’s microseismic data acquisition system, the Paladin 5 32-bit digital seismic recorder enables accurate detection of a wide range of seismic event magnitudes within a flexible, customizable platform.

Seismic sensors detect and measure small ground vibrations caused during mining operations.  They can be deployed in various configurations around a zone of interest to provide the best possible detection coverage.  ESG offers a range of seismic sensors, including geophones and accelerometers for downhole, uphole and surface installation. Sensors are also available in triaxial (3-component) or uniaxial formats for added flexibility.

For over 20 years, ESG has provided microseismic monitoring solutions to the international mining industry.  Our microseismic monitoring systems have been deployed in hundreds of underground  and open-pit mines around the world and we continue to invest in developing new and improved microseismic solutions for mining applications. ESG’s microseismic monitoring systems and services provide a continuous stream of real-time information that help mining and ground control engineers understand how the mine responds to excavation and extraction operations.  This additional knowledge enables engineers to effectively plan mine operations, decrease costs and assess hazards.

ESG offers complete microseismic monitoring solutions for a variety of geotechnical applications including underground storage facilities (LPG sites and nuclear waste repositories), vibration thresholds and blasting and monitoring of structures such as dams, high speed rail tracks, bridges and tunnels. Our underground storage systems incorporate microseismic, temperature and pressure data into one fully integrated monitoring platform.  This complete system is customized to include everything from integrated acquisition through to visualization based on client needs.
