Stack Emissions Testing

Asbestos Services
Asbestos is a proven carcinogenic agent. In October 2002 the CAWR 2002 replaced existing asbestos regulations. Under these new regulations it is a legal requirement for those in control of buildings to develop an asbestos register and management plan in accordance with the requirements of MDHS 100. ESP Environmental can assist clients to assess their risk and make informative management decisions. ESP has qualified staff with extensive experience carrying out asbestos surveys, abatement and removal supervision. These services fulfil the requirements of commercial, industrial and government clients during operations, maintenance, renovation and demolition scenarios.

Noise and Vibration Services

Water and Wastewater Management Services
Water quality issues are an increasing priority for industry today. Discharge into rivers and waterways have to meet certain standards set by Regulatory Authorities. Breach of these standards can prove to be expensive and result in adverse publicity. ESP Environmental Limited is staffed by qualified Environmental Scientists who have experience in on-site water sampling techniques. Areas include, discharge water, effluent treatment, surface waste water, sewage effluent, process and potable water. Sample bottles and same-day courier services are supplied as part of the monitoring programme.
Legionella Risk Assesment Services
Legionella bacteria are common and can occur naturally in the environment in lakes, rivers etc. but usually in relatively small amounts. They have been found in water at temperature between 6°C and 60°C. There is an optimum temperature of between 20°C and 45°C that seems to favour their proliferation and they are normally killed off by temperatures above 60°C but can survive for short periods at temperatures of up to 80¡C. The initial stage in the prevention of legionella is a Risk Assessment. The purpose of the Assessment is to enable a valid decision to be made regarding the risk to health, i.e. whether the potential for harm to health from exposure is reasonably foreseeable and to ensure that adequate precautionary measures are taken. Also what measures for prevention, or adequate control, to minimise the risk from exposure to legionella, is taken.
Atmospheric Dispersion Modelling Services
Air quality issues still remain a high priority to both the industrial sector and the regulator today. ESP has the experience and expertise to support clients in all aspects of air quality and particularly that of ADMS (atmospheric dispersion modelling). Our highly professional cost effective service supports the varying requirements of our clients. Modelling studies can be undertaken as a complementary package, using stack emissions sampling and testing results or stand-alone exercises with client input.
